Notice on upcoming reduction in Operation Bootstrap’s future rewards drip rate by 50%.
Context
Bootstrap was originally designed to inject growth into the ecosystem by driving new demand for SPOT through AMPL incentives. The current state of the market is uncertain and broadly risk-off. As such, the new-demand-driving impact of AMPL emissions is minimal while the cost of AMPL emissions remains high.
Rewards for the Bootstrap program will be reduced by 50% on Tuesday March 18, 2025 at 5pm PDT. It is recommended that bootstrap participants claim any outstanding rewards before that time to maximize their accruals before reduction takes place.
Context

The Operation Bootstrap incentive program is coming to an end. Nothing changes with the SPOT protocol itself.
The initiative was launched to help kickstart liquidity for SPOT and create a strong on-ramp for new users into the Ampleforth ecosystem. However, the macro market environment has shifted greatly since the launch.
