Lebanon, the cloud, and the limits of sovereignty
By aligning with Oracle, Lebanon places its digital future within a US technology ecosystem closely tied to Israeli security power. On 8 December 2025, Lebanon presented what appeared to be a technical breakthrough. The American company Oracle and Lebanon's Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Kamal Shehadeh, signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) committing to train 50,000 participants from the public and private sectors over the next five years in cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning.
Officials described the agreement as a "free grant," part of a national program designed to prepare Lebanon for the age of AI. In a country facing economic collapse and institutional decline, the government portrayed the agreement as a step toward digital renewal...
An interesting article by Jamal Meselmani for The Cradle. There's no such thing as "free" when dealing with evil.

Let's start another beautiful day with a slight correction of a widely spread myth. Namely, that the US President needs Congressional approval to declare war. Yes, technically, but not really.
I say "not really," because no one declares wars anymore.
Under Section 4(a) of the War Powers Resolution (50 U.S.C. ยง 1543), the President must submit a written report to Congress within 48 hours after US Armed Forces are introduced into hostilities or into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated - unless Congress has already declared war or authorized the action.
Under Section 5(b) (50 U.S.C. ยง 1544(b)), once the President reports (or is required to report) under the 48 hour rule, the War Powers Resolution provides that US forces must be withdrawn within 60 days unless Congress has declared war, enacted a specific authorization for the use of military force, or extended the period by law...

Anyone should be able to see issues with these clauses.
1, It's situationally vague as shit.
2, "Declaring war" is a legal act. You don't need to "declare war" to attack someone.
3, It leaves a lot of room for manoeuvre.
This is, again, why no one "declares war." No war will be "declared" on Iran. Yes, this absolutely is legalistic fuckery, but it just do be like that. War wasn't "declared" on Korea, Vietnam, or Iraq. A president will just attack and, if needed, will get a sort of approval later, as allowed by Section 5(b) (50 U.S.C. ยง 1544(b)).
Again, a president needs Congressional approval to declare war. In fact, only Congress can. However, no one declares wars and nothing is stopping a president from using the military without declaring a war, as allowed by Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 of the US Constitution.

Those people who are trying to say this is just "another conflict"... it's not just another conflict. It's existential to the Jewish state.
If Hamas survives all this, God helps the Jewish people.
They're approaching Hamas after October 7th as we approached the Japanese after Pearl Harbor โ and that's the right approach.

โโ๏ธ๐ฎ๐ท/๐บ๐ณ/๐บ๐ธ Iran in an urgent letter to the United Nations:
'In the event that the Islamic Republic of Iran is subjected to military aggression, it will respond decisively and proportionately in the exercise of its inherent right of self-defence under Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations.
In such circumstances, all bases, facilities, and assets of the hostile force in the region would constitute legitimate targets in the context of Iran's defensive response.
The United States would bear full and direct responsibility for any unpredictable and uncontrolled consequences.'

Trump's US pledge of $10B to new Board of Peace fuels funding source questions
At the newly renamed Donald J. Trump United States Institute of Peace, President Donald Trump announced a massive $10 billion US commitment to the Board of Peace (BoP). However, the Thursday announcement has since fueled questions in relation to where the money will be coming from specifically.
The pledge, intended to anchor an international effort to rebuild the Gaza Strip, immediately drew scrutiny from Democrat lawmakers and even some conservative allies who argued that this could lead to a major "funding gap" in the administration's fiscal plans...
OANN is actually capable of asking questions? Huh, imagine that. But it's good to see that our politicians' primary concern is a "funding gap." $10 billion is basically spare change for the US government. I don't know guys, I guess you'll need to spend $10 billion less on the next genocide. I knoooow, that's tough. Some things never change...

The best piece of advice I can give you, is to treat all media reports regarding the U.S. or Iran, what will happen, what are both sides saying, as nothing more than public theatre.
Both sides already know what is going to happen, the only objective behind media reports now is misleading the other side.
