Hollywood panics as the box office sales plunge to "alarming lows"

It's still very early in 2024 but woke Hollywood is having a very bad year already. Box office sales are way down and show no signs of improving in the near future.

Perhaps audiences are tired of political lectures from leftists who despise everything about traditional America. Or maybe no one wants to see another tired superhero movie. How many Marvel movies are there now, anyway? Who can keep track? This is a simple case of people voting with their wallets.

Going to the movies used to be fun, that's why. Now you'll either get a lecture in identity politics or a dumb super hero movie which includes a lecture in identity politics. So why bother? Also torrents exist, just saying. Or 123movies, just saying. JUST SAYING...

Tucker Carlson met with Joe Biden's rape victim Tara Reade and NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden while in Moscow

On February 5th Citizen Free Press noted that Tucker Carlson may also interview Edward Snowden and Biden rape accuser Tara Reade while in Moscow.

Tucker Carlson met with NSA leaker Edward Snowden while in Moscow, according to Semafor. Tucker Carlson did record an interview with Tara Reade, a former Senate aide who later accused President Joe Biden of sexual assault, which he has denied.

It's like Tucker decided to single-handedly take down the deep state. What a chad.

Iraq calls to implement 2020 parliament vote demanding expulsion of US troops

Baghdad was met with US threats when its parliament voted to expel Washington in 2020.

Mandalawi "called on the government to implement the Parliament's decision related to the removal of foreign forces from Iraq", Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported on Saturday, adding that he "referred a request signed by more than 100 representatives to the (Legal, Security, and Defense) committees regarding a proposed law to remove foreign forces from Iraq".

Senate breaks filibuster, clearing the key hurdle in advancing $95 billion foreign aid package

The Senate cleared a procedural hurdle, with more than 60 Senators on both sides of the aisle voting to advance a $95.34 billion aid package during a rare Sunday session.

Senators voted 67-27 to advance an amendment that changes the underlying text of the legislation in the new foreign aid legislation that does not include bipartisan border provisions that were rejected by a majority of the Senate Republicans earlier in the week.

Donald Trump threatens NATO, saying he would "encourage" Russia to "do whatever the hell they want"

Former President Donald Trump again stirred fears about the future of NATO by suggesting he might not come to the aid of European nations if they're attacked by Russia - and might even "encourage" Russians "to do whatever the hell they want".

Donald Trump said this almost a decade ago. Why is USA Today fear mongering about it? It's a rhetorical question, of course. More anti-Trump propaganda from our beloved MSM.

Short on soldiers, Ukraine debates how to find the next wave of troops

A potential expansion of the nation's military draft to replenish the exhausted, battered army has become an emotional, politically charged issue.

As they planned for a renewal of Ukraine's military under extreme conditions, both the country's former top commander and his replacement have emphasized the same looming problem: a need to relieve exhausted, battered troops whose combat tours have stretched nearly two years.

Not satisfied with depopulating only half of the country and only sending one generation to its death, Zelensky wants to do more.

Karine Jean Pierre absurdly claims Joe Biden "does more in one hour than most people do in a day"

Pool reporters repeatedly questioned Joe Biden's mental acuity after Special Counsel Robert Hur released a report in which he referred to Biden as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory".

KJP brushed off the questions and claimed "Biden does more in one hour than most people do in a day"! even though he has an empty schedule for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

Kiev reportedly sent elite reserve reinforcements as Russians split the city in half - will "butcher" Syrsky again sacrifice troops in vain?

Increasingly in the panorama of pro-Ukrainian analysts, you see disenchanted people predicting that the siege of Avdiivka is rapidly becoming "Bakhmut 2.0".

On a fast and shallow reading of this reference we understand that they fear the city will fall with a lot of losses for Kiev - and that's exactly the case.

But there's more to this: in Bakhmut, and also in Mariupol, there was the same dynamic at play where, at a certain point during the siege, the military leadership of Ukraine knew it was futile to persist, and wanted to retreat saving the elite forces there to fight another day, in better fortified positions.

In both these cities' cases, and now Avdiivka, the civilian leadership around President Volodymyr Zelensky insisted its forces put up a valiant fight "to the end", which they did.

US opposes "full-scale" Israel offensive on Rafah without plan for civilians

The United States said Monday it did not consider Israel's deadly hostage rescue operation in Rafah to be a full-scale operation and still opposed an offensive without a plan to protect civilians.

"Without such a plan that is credible, and that they can execute, we do not support a full-scale military operation", State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters.

Dear subscribers,

I'm sorry to say, but following the news to this extent and reading all the brain-dead, war-mongering and lying articles by the MSM is taking its toll.

The last straw for me was yesterday's article by USA Today, where they decided to take something Donald Trump said in 2016 (about NATO) and make that into some big anti-Trump propaganda piece. I'm exhausted and I need at least one day away from the news.

As a result, I will take tomorrow (Tuesday) off and I will be back on Wednesday.

Thank you for your understanding,
Peyton

General Syrsky takes charge as Ukraine continues to falter

The leadership shakeup in Kiev, with President Zelensky giving the boot to General Zaluzhny and promoting General Syrsky to the top military slot, has not changed the dire situation.

If anything, it has made matters worse. General Syrsky, who is known as "The Butcher", is intent on living up to his reputation.

One of his first moves was to move four Ukrainian brigades from the Kharkiv region to Avdeevka. Initial reports today indicate that did not go well.

There has reportedly been a mass casualty event in the town of Selidovo where Russian iskander and reportedly cluster munitions from smerch devastated an AFU training ground. Some sources are saying ~600 casualties but that number is unconfirmed and subject to review. This estimate comes from the accompanying reports that hospital beds in Dnepropetrovsk have been completely filled.

US House leader rejects Ukraine aid despite Biden's plea

The Republican leader of the US House of Representatives on Tuesday blocked war aid for Ukraine, ignoring President Joe Biden's plea that passing the bill was vital for standing up to "Russian dictator" Vladimir Putin.

Speaker Mike Johnson, who works closely with Biden's likely challenger in the November election Donald Trump, told reporters he has no intention of even allowing a vote on the bill.

The bill was approved in the Senate earlier Tuesday. It includes $95 billion in funding, mostly for the security of pro-Western Ukraine, as well as for the top US strategic priorities of Israel and Taiwan.

The bill was always highly unlikely to pass the House, but the fact that even the vote itself was rejected brings me joy. I guess Ukraine will have to find another nation to fund their corruption. Also, it's good that the Senate passed the bill, as it opens more people to the reality of our politics.

South Africa makes an "urgent request" to ICJ as Israel prepares to enter Rafah

Rafah is desperately overcrowded with nearly two million stranded Palestinians, most of whom were displaced from other areas of Gaza.

The South African Government has made an urgent request to the ICJ to consider whether the decision announced by Israel to extend its military operations in Rafah, which is the last refuge for surviving people in Gaza, requires that the court uses its power to prevent further imminent breach of the rights of Palestinians in Gaza.

On 26 January, the ICJ ordered that Israel take steps to prevent acts of genocide by its military in Gaza and punish incitements to genocide.

I already wrote about the ICJ's decision and its utter lack of any practical impact. Israel will continue doing whatever they want, wherever they want, because we not only let them, but also support them and sponsor them.

US to deploy 5 aircraft carriers in western Pacific in show of strength to China

Washington wants to reassure its partners that it remains committed to Indo-Pacific, despite conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.

The US is likely to deploy nearly half of its aircraft carriers in the western Pacific this year, in a signal of deterrence against the increasing military activity in the region by China and North Korea, analysts said.

We have 11 of them, we will "likely" send half of our aircraft carrier fleet there. That's the exact opposite of what we should be doing. We "remain committed" to ALL the wars. There just can't be a war out there that we aren't "committed" to. How can we possibly miss an opportunity to commit to a war.

Trump still dominates with 65% of support in Nikki Haley's home state of South Carolina ahead of February 24 primary

A new CBS/YouGov poll, conducted February 5-10, shows President Trump with an increasing lead in South Carolina, where Nikki Haley used to be governor.

Only 20% of likely GOP Primary voters say they are more likely to vote for Haley because she is from the state. Trump's approval rating as president is more than 20 points higher than Nikki Haley's approval rating as governor at 82% to 60%.

The GOP establishment is tossing tens of millions of campaign dollars away on a candidate nobody wants.

UK urges US Congress to approve Ukraine aid

British Foreign Secretary David Cameron on a visit to Bulgaria on Wednesday urged members of the US Congress to "do the right thing" and approve the Ukraine aid package.

I urge members of Congress in the United States who'll be looking at this today to vote for their package. We appeal to them to do the right thing to stop aggression, to be on the side of freedom, to stand up for a country that's defending its borders.

Ah, yes, the British. The same people who sabotaged the Istanbul negotiations, "siding with freedom". Cameron, one of the worst pieces of human garbage on the planet talking about "fighting evil". Clown world.

The U.S. is investigating several Israeli airstrikes in Gaza that killed dozens of civilians

...and the possible use by Israel of white phosphorus in Lebanon.

The process shows the dilemmas facing the Biden administration, which so far has ruled out putting conditions on arms transfers to pressure Israel, but faces increasing calls from some members of Congress to do so as the war wears on.

The "dilemmas facing the Biden administration". You see, one the one hand, they love terrorists and really enjoy starting and sponsoring wars around the world! On the other, however, it looks really bad when they also talk about bad Russia. What do we do, what do we do? I'm sure they will find the most unimaginably hypocritical and despicable way of sorting out this "dilemma" of theirs, they always do.

Speaker Johnson shuts down Senate Bill, blasts Biden in fiery presser: "A nan too incapable of being held accountable for mishandling classified information is certainly unfit for the oval office

House Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday morning shut down the Senate's foreign aid bill and blasted Joe Biden in a fiery press conference.

Joe Biden's dream of commanding prices to fall clashes with reality of inflation and economic challenges

And then, on the 6th Sunday of the year, which was also the Sunday of the Super Bowl, Joe did raise his mighty fist and command the prices to fall; and they fell.

For he was the president, and this is how thou dost manage an economy. But alas, it was only a dream. Joe awakened to a world of 18% cumulative inflation, 33% food inflation, and shrinking product sizes.

President Biden recently told companies to stop shrinking their products. His words were as effective as they were when he demanded gas stations lower their prices two years ago, or when he ordered companies to fight inflation by cutting costs but not cutting salaries.

Joe Biden isn't "with us", he has no clue what's going on. I wrote before that, at times, I feel bad for him. But as a result, someone must be there actually making the decisions, right? Does that make sense? Who?

Israel vows to press ahead with "powerful" Rafah operation

Israel vowed Wednesday to press on with a "powerful" operation in war-torn Gaza's Rafah, even as calls mounted for it to hold off sending troops into the territory's overcrowded far-southern city.

We will fight until complete victory and this includes a powerful action also in Rafah after we allow the civilian population to leave the battle zones.
