โก๏ธTelegram owner Pavel Durov revealed to Tucker Carlson that he will not give in to deep state pressure to censor free speech on the social media platform Telegram.
โ The idea of โโcreating Telegram arose when Durov encountered security problems when using other means of communication. Nikolai Durov , Pavel's brother, developed the encryption standard that is used in Telegram to this day.
โ Now, with the development of Telegram channels, in addition to the general priority of security and privacy, Telegram has a mission - to allow people to express freedom of speech
โ Durov was attacked while he was looking for an office in San Francisco. Then he himself broke his smartphone, gave some resistance to the attackers and was able to escape.
โ Durov tried many places where you can develop Telegram: Berlin, London, Singapore. But everywhere I ran into bureaucracy. In the end he chose Dubai.
During its seven years of operation in the UAE, Telegram has not experienced any pressure from the government.
โ Telegram ignored requests from governments, which it considered a violation of the values โโof freedom of speech and protection of privacy.
โ The greatest pressure comes from Apple and Google , which can censor content on their platforms. After what he experienced in America, he has little faith that platforms developed in the US are safe. Therefore, Durov believes that products of new brands may appear that will be able to protect the privacy of their owners.
โ Telegram should not take sides.
โ Governments are becoming less accommodating and tolerant of private life. At the same time, Durovโs faith in maintaining confidentiality in the future remains.
โ Durov welcomes the purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk , as it contributes to the development of the social networking industry.

The Mumbai police have busted a child trafficking racket and arrested a doctor and six others involved in selling an infant and a toddler.
The police had received a tip that a resident of Vikhroli, had allegedly sold a five-month-old baby for $2400.
A doctor who assisted in selling the baby was also arrested.
The gang was also allegedly involved in trafficking children.
The baby was later rescued.
