Sanjay Roy has been sentenced to LIFE IMPRISONMENT in the #RGkarverdict for the heinous rape & murder of Tilottama.

While this verdict brings some justice, it’s disappointing that the Court consider this case as “NOT RAREST OF RARE”!

This verdict comes after the @WBPolice successfully secured capital punishment for similar crimes in Jaynagar, Farakka & Gurap. However, in the #RGkarcase, the @CBIHeadquarters’ investigation fell short of ensuring the harshest punishment.

Moreover, had the @narendramodi Govt cleared the stricter law Aparajita Bill (as passed by GoWB), the quantum of punishment could have been more severe.
