Today, we're choosing peace.❤️‍🩹

For just one day, we want to step away from the darkness and share something different. So many of you only know us thru the hardest chapters of our story. You see the fight, the evidence, the pain, and the trauma... but you rarely get to see who we really are.

Before we spend this weekend reopening wounds that were buried for decades, we want to remember the life we fought so hard to build.❤️‍🩹🥹

For those who don't know, but have heard me mention it over the years, I'm a choreographer for dancers of all ages, including children with special needs. I'm a hairstylist who has volunteered my time for foster children. I'm a dancer, a mentor, and a woman blessed with many talents and passions.

After my last order at 17½ years old, I was finally given the chance to live.

For a little while, I became the person I desperately needed when I was a child. I found purpose, joy, music, dance, laughter, and the simple beauty of helping others heal.
Thank you God and to my mama.
Those weren't just hobbies...they were pieces of my freedom.

If you've ever wondered what was stolen from us, it wasn't just our childhoods. It was the ordinary moments... the ability to simply exist without fear. We worked so hard to build a peaceful life, and we would give anything to have those days again.

So today isn't about the darkness, it is about remembering the light.

Thank you for walking this journey with us. We hope these memories remind you that behind every survivor is a human being who laughs, dreams, creates, loves, and never stopped fighting to become the person they were always meant to be.

Tomorrow, we return to the hard conversations.

Today is a day of peace for us.. 💕

I was 3 months old when the documents say my abuse began.

3 months old!
Before I could speak, understand what was happening or I could even understand what fear was. And somehow, I survived. As an adult it is hitting harder everyday. 😔

I was adopted out of the Riverside County California foster care system on June 6, 2014, by my mom, Shelly Carter.

People have this pre conceived notion that adoption is where the story ends.
The child is rescued. The family is found. The nightmare is over. Happily ever after.
But that's not how it works.

Adoption doesn't erase what happened to a child.
It doesn't erase the fear, memories, the questions.
And it doesn't magically teach a survivor how to feel safe.

Sometimes, that's where an entirely different war begins.

A new war with new energy.
It has been a fight to learn what life feels like when you're not constantly waiting for something bad to happen💯

And thru all of it, my mom and I have had moments where we learned something I never thought I'd know... What real love and safety feels like.
What it feels like to finally live without fear.

The little girls inside me were failed by people who were supposed to protect children.
But they aren't the only reason we're still fighting.
We fight for every child.

Tomorrow, around 8 PM EST, we will be LIVE.

We're beginning the release of our Dead Man's Switch, starting from the bottom and moving forward.

This isn't about posting another story people can scroll past.
It's about the children whose voices were ignored and failed.

The children who are still waiting for somebody to believe them.

I survived being that child.
Now I'm fighting like hell in hopes other children don't have to.

Well... Truth Teller problems. My books were just snatched from Amazon the second the new one cleared for release. Thank you to those who messaged us.i have no idea why this is happening or how to fix it. I will call some friends and figure it out. 🤦🏽‍♀️
