The images describe how a coastal town called Templeton changed from 1990 to 2005. Overall, by 2005, the town had developed greatly with the addition of new residential blocks at the expense of old houses and greenery. The town also became more accessible once new forms of transportation were introduced alongside the old ones. Some features of the town, however, were not subject to change.
In 1990, the town had housing units in all four quarters, which were separated by a river running from north to the sea in the south as well as two stretches of horizontal roads. The north-east corner was occupied with a school and a hospital to its east. These two buildings were flanked by housing units on all sides. There was also a railway station in the easternmost corner and a parking lot. As for the western part of the town, there was a lake in the north surrounded by a relatively large house in the north and smaller ones in the west and south. Across the street could be found two rows of houses as well as a residential block in the south-west.
By 2005, the town had seen a complete makeover. The majority of small housing units were replaced by residential apartment complexes, even though some new small houses were built in certain areas. Other key changes were the construction of a supermarket alongside the new apartments in the west and the erection of a factory in the east. Additionally, the town was now accessible via a ferry in the south-east and an airplane in the north. The railway line had also been extended along the beach. No changes were made to the school and hospital buildings.

The image outlines the different stages involved in the life cycle of a flower. Generally speaking, there are eight distinct stages involved in this cyclical process, starting with seeds and culminating with plants with fruits. It is also noteworthy that the process is almost self-contained, with only one phase requiring external influence.
At the first stage of the process, seeds fall from mature plants on the ground, which are collected by humans in the subsequent step and are planted and watered. Following this, the planted seed starts to germinate, growing a root underneath it. After the germination phase is complete, a sprout appears with small leaves, and after a week it turns into a seedling with larger leaves and more roots.
The next stage of the development sees a seedling turn into a plant with buds, each of which produces pink flowers after three days. These flowers then alter their color - becoming paler - and shape from flat into round, thus maturing. Ultimately, these mature plants drop their seeds and repeat the cycle.
20 minutes.

Today many people use the internet and smartphones to transfer money to friends, family and businesses. Is it a positive or negative development?
The development of technology, particularly smartphones and the internet, has enabled people to send money to any person or business. While there are some downsides to transferring money online, I believe that it is a change for the better.
There are some reasons why sending money online can be deemed unfavorable. First, there is a risk of online frauds. My father, for instance, has recently fallen victim to a website and lost about $200 after downloading an application on his smartphone, which was supposed to offer commission-free transfers. Second, there are accessibility issues. People living in remote places like deserts or mountains have very poor mobile connection, let alone internet access. For them, it is more convenient to send money in a traditional way.
Despite the negatives mentioned above, I believe that sending money with the help of the internet and smartphones is a positive change. The main reason why this is so is convenience it offers to users. While banks donβt work 24/7 and ATMs are placed only in specific places, online transfers can be made whenever and wherever possible. Aside from this, sending money via the internet provides instant support or help. A student studying in a foreign country, for example, can easily ask for money from friends or family members during an emergency, such as ill-health or an unfortunate accident. Due to these reasons, online transfers should be seen as progress.
To sum up, whereas online money transfers may not be accessible to all and are potentially vulnerable to scams, I feel that their convenience and speed outweigh any of the drawbacks.

Yet another cool video edit by our graduating group (November Admission).
But this one is little overblown (new titles and all that). Loved the dynamic music and editing. Kudos to M.A.B for putting together this little cute video.
I enjoyed the ride with you and hope you did too. This is not a goodbye video, but just a fun way of reflecting on the time we spent together.
I wonder how they manage to sneak a camera into the classπ€π€

Many supermarkets are selling more and more products that are imported from other countries instead of selling food that is locally sourced.
Is this a positive or negative development?
More and more food stores sell foreign produce rather than locally grown one these days. Though there are some negative implications of this development, I am of the view that it is a change for the better.
True, the fact that a growing number of supermarkets sell imported food predominately has some consequences. The main detriment is to local farmers. Local farmers whose livelihood generally depends on revenue from food sales will largely be impacted by their foreign competitors, seeing as overseas producers tend to have superior farming technology and easy access to international market. Having lost their edge in the market, local farmers are put out of business, which creates local unemployment. Besides, importation of food often means consumers are overcharged. That is, supply chain costs associated with processing, packaging, shipping and storing food create unnecessary expense for the end consumer, making imported food poor value for money.
Despite these downsides, an increasing trend towards selling imported produce is, to my mind, a favorable turn of events. One positive outcome would be creation of a competitive food market. Being forced to compete with foreign producers, local farmers attempt to improve the quality and affordability of their product to keep their share of the market. This ultimately leads to improved consumer satisfaction. Additionally, locals are able to enjoy foreign produce with relative ease. This is because no travelling is required to experience foods of other cultures. As someone who lives in a landlocked country, Uzbekistan, I have the luxury of trying seafood in my locality. In this sense, new experiences are possible for the consumer at minimal effort and time.
In conclusion, importation of food from other countries may not be a favorable change in some respects, yet I reckon it enables healthy market competition and a convenient way of experiencing exotic food items.
