The VP rollout is anticlimactic.
It actually is just exposing rifts within the Republican Party. It’s not making us more excited about a future bench or anything. Announce and get it on with it. Especially helps dilute the possibility of pushing Joe Biden out of the race—we want him in. Do it!

I still think they don’t, although it’s significant Senators are tip toeing there.
After convention, Biden actually has less leverage but can leave the ticket. It’ll just be really, really difficult.
There might be a push again, but it’ll be less organized and maybe they’ll shoot him or something. Hopefully not.
