A French couple in their 50s was forced to transfer €900,000 (~$1M) in Bitcoin during a fake police home invasion.

The incident occurred on Monday in Le Chesnay-Rocquencourt, west of Paris. Three suspects posing as police officers entered the home, threatened the couple with a knife, and forced the husband to transfer the cryptocurrency.

The attackers injured both victims, and fled the scene in a white van. Police said they are currently investigating the case.
