well i did get my hands on an entire bottle instead of one of those little sample bottles and its safe to say that they dont really taste alike
i do like mine better but that commercial one really aint bad either, its just way too expensive
mine has much more citrus and fresh spruce tip flavor, while that commercial one has quite a lot more linden blossom flavor
i did of course switch out some ingredients cause they were hard to get or expensive, like that weird wild pepper from madagascar was switched out for szechuan pepper from my garden which would give more citrus flavor, i couldnt find angelica seeds anywhere so i used angelica root, no idea how different they taste as i never had any seeds to work with before (hope my angelica plant grows up and gives me some soon), whatever sikrit ingredient they have, it certainly isnt orris root, and im not so sure they used any vapor infusion like i did
but well in the end mine has a ton more flavor, its slightly cloudy from all the essential oils after all which for the commercial guys is le bad because the consoooomer doesnt like it or something
i may make a second version to try and get a bit closer to the commercial one but im gonna keep making this recipe, cause its just good

mind you, im an absolute novice when it comes to gin, i made my very first gin at the start of this year or maybe at the very end of last year, so i kinda have no idea what im doing in terms of ingredients
this stuff is much more focused on delicate balancing, unlike the absinthe im used to where you just shove in 100g of one herb, then another 70g of another herb, perhaps 10g of something else for a little accent, meanwhile with gin youre pissing around deciding on single gram differences

that sikrit ingredient has got to be a flower or a fruit though
