Made some more gin
Last adjustments on one recipe and tried out the new recipe
Both turned out very nice
The R-gin has a bit more of a herbal 'green' taste
The T-gin on the other hand has more juniper presence, as well as more citrus and floral flavor, also has a more oily mouthfeel since theres so much essential oil in it that its become cloudy

the inspiration for the R-gin is the roku gin that was initially in that bottle, of course its not the same but i do think it somewhat resembles it, though it could use a bit more citrus
this here is the recipe i went with for it, i initially wanted to use a bit of grapefruit peel but i couldnt find any that wasnt treated, so i changed it around a bit and used lemon balm instead
Base liquor: 90% sugar wash neutral, 10% shochu
600ml 60% abv spirit (macerate 24h):
22g juniper
4.5g coriander
1.2g angelica root
0.6g orris root
5g lemon peel
3g mandarin peel
400ml 48% abv spirit:
macerate for 6 hours:
2g fresh blackcurrant leaves
0.5g sichuan pepper (toast before maceration)
macerate for 2 hours:
1.3g sencha tea
1g linden blossoms
1.3g fresh lemon balm (0.8 dried)
strain all botanicals before distillation, dont want any in the pot
vapor infusion:
0.75g dried spruce tips (1.5g fresh)
0.3g linden blossoms
1g lemon peel
dilute to 43-45%

and here is the (probably) final iteration of the turicum gin inspired recipe
how close did i get to turicum gin? dunno, only had a small amount one time, but i like the result nonetheless
i did also use the 90% sugar wash neutral and 10% shochu base liquor, same as with the previous recipe, but i dont think it makes all that much of a difference
1.15L 50% neutral alcohol
maceration:
20g juniper
7g coriander
1g angelica root
1.6g licorice
2.3g rosehips
1.2g orris root
0.1g black pepper
0.2g szechuan pepper (add 8-10 hours before distillation)
vapor infusion:
5.5g linden blossoms
1.5g orange blossoms
4g lemon peel
4g orange peel
5.5g spruce tips (double if fresh)
Macerate 18-24 hours
Bottle at 42-43%
