إنّا لله و إنا إليه راجعون

To Allah we belong and to Him is the return.

Masjid Al-Ansar would like to offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of Um Shayma. She returned to Allah yesterday.

May Allah grant her jannatul firdaws and give her family patience and make their children a sadaqah jariya for her - Aameen.

She left a permanent legacy in the masjid which insha'Allah will continue to be a sadaqah jariya for her. In particular the Chapter's Coffee Shop was a realisation of her vision of a warm and welcoming place for the community where the values of Islam are expressed with confidence.

At this time we remember the suffering of all those who have lost loved ones and remind each other with the words of the Prophet Sallallahu alayhi wa salam:

Verily to Allah, belongs what He took and to Him belongs what He gave, and everything with Him has an appointed time...May Allah magnify their reward, and make better their solace. Aameen

إِنَّ للهِ ما أَخَذ، وَلَهُ ما أَعْـطـى، وَكُـلُّ شَيءٍ عِنْـدَهُ بِأَجَلٍ مُسَـمَّى.فَلْتَصْـبِر وَلْتَحْـتَسِب. أَعْظَـمَ اللهُ أَجْـرَك، وَأَحْسَـنَ عَـزاءَ ك، وَغَفَـرَ لِمَـيِّتِك

Verily to Allah, belongs what He took and to Him belongs what He gave, and everything with Him has an appointed time.

O Allah, forgive and have mercy upon her, excuse her and pardon her, and make honourable her reception. Expand her entry, and cleanse her with water, snow, and ice, and purify her of sin as a white robe is purified of filth. Exchange her home for a better home, and her family for a better companion. Admit her into the Garden, protect her from the punishment of the grave and the torment of the Fire.

O Allah, do not deprive us of her reward and do not let us stray after her.

O Allah, our sister, Mona is under Your care and protection so protect her from the trial of the grave and torment of the Fire. Forgive and have mercy upon her, surely You are The Oft-Forgiving, The Most-Merciful.

O Allah, Your servant and the daughter of Your servant is in need of Your mercy and You are without need of her punishment. If she was righteous then increase her reward and if she was not, then overlook her sins. Deal with her according to Your Generosity and Mercy.
