🔊 *Sh Haitham on Lockdown Eid Prayers* 🔈

Debating over the Eid prayer is distracting us from what is more important—the last days of Ramadān and Laylat al-Qadr.

_Key Muslim organisations:_
Approach the relevant authorities in each council to allow a symbolic Eid prayer in different places. A hidden prayer in some mosques will not fulfil the Sunnah of this key Islamic public practice.

_The rest of us:_
You have two choices to pray it at home:
1) Two rak’āt with extra takbīrs as usual;
2) Two rak’āt as normal nafl without the extra takbīrs.
Listen to an Eid khutbah/Bayān online for educational and spiritual purposes.

The matter is flexible no need for debating. *Let us spend our time more wisely and make the most out of these final precious moments—it could be your last Ramadān.*

Alhamdulillah we currently have great community support but the Masjid still requires MASSIVE financial support in order to sustain itself.

When prayers were suspended, the main source of income i.e. donations from those regular musallis coming to Salah & Jummah stopped.

As we in the last ashara (final third) of Ramadan - please remember us in your duas as we will remember you.
