Почему программисты не боятся дереализации? Потому что мы и так живём в виртуальном мире! 🤣

JuliaSyntax.jl: A New Julia Compiler Frontend in Julia | Claire Foster | JuliaCon 2022
JuliaSyntax.jl is a new Julia language frontend designed for precise error reporting, speed and flexibility. In this talk we'll tour the JuliaSyntax parser implementation and tree data structures, highlighting benefits for users and tool builders. We'll discuss…
John Baez gives hour-long lectures on particular natural numbers! Yep, that's our John. 😁
I'm kidding. I'm pretty sure the lectures talk about symmetries, groups and alike. Go watch these and many others: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuAO-1XXEh0ZiJlRKz7EuODAdIOjC5-1l

Hillel is back with more (newer) Python craze. This is what happens when you just add nice-looking trendy features to your language without considering their interactions with existing ones.

"Algorithms", Jeff Erickson
Another #free #book on algorithms. The book itself covers all major areas and additional online material covers many more. At the very least it features pretty funny epigraphs for its chapters. 😏

Intel not dead.
Возможно, сейчас неплохой момент чтобы подобрать акции Intel по сниженной цене. Делать этого я конечно не буду. Не является инвестиционной рекомендацией.

Intel’s 2021 Exascale Vision in Aurora: Two Sapphire Rapids CPUs with Six Ponte Vecchio GPUs
For the last few years, when discussing high performance computing, the word 'exascale' has gone hand-in-hand with the next generation of supercomputers. Even last month, on 10/18, HPC twitter was awash with mentions of ‘Exascale Day’, signifying 10^18 operations…

"No-code isn't scalable"
I'd say the conclusion is "SaaS isn't scalable if you actually grow to 'a Web-scale'". And if you grow near Twitter/Facebook scale you're all but doomed to rebuild everything from the ground up: https://danluu.com/in-house/

No-code isn’t scalable. Our learnings at FINN going from 1000 toward 100,000 car subscriptions
At FINN, we grew from 0 to 20,000 car subscriptions, expanded to the US, all in just two years. Those statistics bring one word to mind…

Google combines Machine-Learned Transformer-based code completions with "traditional" semantic analysis-based completions and checks and measures some productivity improvements.
It's nice to be Google: you can have 10k+ devs in your treatment group and the rest of Google in control.
