The Bank of England plans to discuss the impact of Anthropic’s new AI model with financial institutions within the next two weeks, as UK regulators join their peers in the US and elsewhere in raising alarms over the risks posed by the tool.

The Mythos model features on the agenda for the BOE’s Cross Market Operational Resilience Group and CMORG AI Taskforce meetings that will include representatives from the Treasury, Financial Conduct Authority and National Cyber Security Centre, according to a person with knowledge of the matter and following an earlier Telegraph report.
