He's used AI to find so many bugs that he can't report them.

These are just the capabilities that AIs have today. Superintelligent AI, which top AI companies like Anthropic are aiming to build, would be vastly more powerful. If we can't ensure that it's safe and controllable, that could end really badly. None of the AI companies have a credible plan to ensure that.

This is why top AI scientists are warning that the development of superintelligence poses a risk of human extinction.

🧠 AI just got a brutal reality check

A new benchmark just dropped and it exposed how far AI still is from real intelligence. On March 25, the ARC Prize Foundation launched ARC-AGI-3 at Y Combinator, with François Chollet and Sam Altman on stage.

Here’s what makes it wild:

• AI isn’t given instructions
• No rules, no hints, no prior data
• Just thrown into unknown environments and forced to figure things out

Think: learning like a human for the first time.

The results? Brutal.

• Humans: ~100%
• Best AI agent: ~12.5%
• Top LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini): under 1%

That gap isn’t small, it’s massive.

Why this matters:

Most benchmarks test memory + pattern recognition. This one tests true intelligence:

→ Can you explore?
→ Can you adapt?
→ Can you learn something completely new on the fly?

Right now, AI fails hard at that.

AI looks powerful because it’s trained on everything. But strip away the training and it struggles to think.

❗️Palantir CEO Alex Karp states that AI winners are not those who mastered systems, but those who could never follow them.

Karp notes: "We live in a world where there are no ready-made instructions, and these instructions themselves are no longer of much value."

For decades, the global economy relied on strict rule adherence. AI now automates this execution. Those whose value lay solely in following instructions now lose to flawless, free automation.

Karp observed: "If you have dyslexia, you can't follow instructions - so you invent something new and creative." Neurodivergent individuals, forced to find alternative paths due to a system mismatch, honed unique problem-solving skills. This was not a deficiency, but preparation for the current era.

Now, standard rules are obsolete for everyone. Rule-followers face confusion; those who ignored rules already know how to proceed. The system historically punished creators, mistaking obedience for intelligence and labeling non-conformists as "broken." They were not broken, simply ahead of their time.
