We're like chimps trying to imagine what humans would do, "Take all the bananas?". They can't imagine nukes, that's us with superintelligence.

πŸ—£"Just please help ... I am quite worried about how this direction is heading."

Nicolas Carlini, a research scientist at top AI company Anthropic, says AI is rapidly improving at hacking.

He's used AI to find so many bugs that he can't report them.

Carlini warns: "Soon it's not just gonna be me who has all of this, but it's gonna be anyone malicious in the world who wants."

These are just the capabilities that AIs have today. Superintelligent AI, which top AI companies like Anthropic are aiming to build, would be vastly more powerful. If we can't ensure that it's safe and controllable, that could end really badly. None of the AI companies have a credible plan to ensure that.

This is why top AI scientists are warning that the development of superintelligence poses a risk of human extinction.

πŸ—£Marc Andreessen says AI is the "silver bullet excuse" for companies laying people off, but most layoffs are actually due to higher interest rates and overstaffing during COVID:

"This entire labor displacement thing is 100% incorrect. It's completely wrong. It's classic zero-sum economics."

"It was the combination of the two, interest rates going to zero during COVID, and then the complete loss of discipline at all these companies when they went virtual and when employees just became an icon on a screen."

"What you have happening right now is that essentially every large company is overstaffed. We could debate how much, it's at least overstaffed by 25%. I think most large companies are overstaffed by 50%. A lot of them are overstaffed by 75%."

"And now they all have the silver bullet excuse, it's AI."

🧠 AI just got a brutal reality check

A new benchmark just dropped and it exposed how far AI still is from real intelligence. On March 25, the ARC Prize Foundation launched ARC-AGI-3 at Y Combinator, with François Chollet and Sam Altman on stage.

Here’s what makes it wild:

β€’ AI isn’t given instructions
β€’ No rules, no hints, no prior data
β€’ Just thrown into unknown environments and forced to figure things out

Think: learning like a human for the first time.

The results? Brutal.

β€’ Humans: ~100%
β€’ Best AI agent: ~12.5%
β€’ Top LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini): under 1%

That gap isn’t small, it’s massive.

Why this matters:

Most benchmarks test memory + pattern recognition. This one tests true intelligence:

β†’ Can you explore?
β†’ Can you adapt?
β†’ Can you learn something completely new on the fly?

Right now, AI fails hard at that.

AI looks powerful because it’s trained on everything. But strip away the training and it struggles to think.

Source.

❗️Palantir CEO Alex Karp states that AI winners are not those who mastered systems, but those who could never follow them.

Karp notes: "We live in a world where there are no ready-made instructions, and these instructions themselves are no longer of much value."

For decades, the global economy relied on strict rule adherence. AI now automates this execution. Those whose value lay solely in following instructions now lose to flawless, free automation.

Karp observed: "If you have dyslexia, you can't follow instructions - so you invent something new and creative." Neurodivergent individuals, forced to find alternative paths due to a system mismatch, honed unique problem-solving skills. This was not a deficiency, but preparation for the current era.

Now, standard rules are obsolete for everyone. Rule-followers face confusion; those who ignored rules already know how to proceed. The system historically punished creators, mistaking obedience for intelligence and labeling non-conformists as "broken." They were not broken, simply ahead of their time.

⚑️Based on the leaked Claude Code, a fully open-source tool named OpenClaude has been developed.

This project represents a fork of the original code, with vendor lock-in successfully removed. Consequently, the same Claude Code, with all its features and logic preserved, is now compatible with any models, including local ones. 🌐

The repository has already garnered 2,000 stars on GitHub. ⭐

Leaked documents indicate that Claude Code archives user-generated profanity within a dedicated file. πŸ“

This practice is likely intended to monitor negativity and identify sources of user frustration. Alternatively, there is a possibility that this data collection serves to gather sensitive information for potential future use. ⚠️

πŸ₯AI can write code but it still can’t feel the beat

A new robotics project, DexDrummer, tried to teach robot hands to play drums using advanced control systems and realistic simulations.

The result? Yes, it works… but it sounds awkward and unnatural.

AI dominates in digital tasks because it learns from massive data. But the physical world is much harder:

β€’ Tiny timing differences matter
β€’ Materials behave unpredictably
β€’ True skill requires body awareness and presence

That’s something AI simply doesn’t have.

Teaching a child music isn’t about training for a job. It’s about learning:

β€’ Coordination
β€’ Creativity
β€’ Expression
β€’ Human connection

These are lived, physical experiences not just patterns to predict.

AI may outperform us in knowledge… But being human, moving, feeling, creating in the real world is still ours.

⚑️ Cursor 3 pushes coding into the agent era

Cursor just launched Cursor 3, redesigned for a world where AI agents write most of the code, and developers orchestrate the process.

β€’ Run multiple agents in parallel across local, SSH, worktrees, and cloud
β€’ Shift from writing code β†’ managing and directing AI workflows
β€’ Keeps full IDE depth, but surfaces tools only when needed
β€’ Built for speed: parallel execution replaces linear coding

The advantage is no longer who codes fastest, it’s who can best coordinate intelligent agents.
