IF YOU THANK HIM, THANK HIM ONCE AGAIN

If the slave is guided by Allah to remember to thank Him, that is, in and of itself, another reason to thank Him further, meaning, a second time. And why we say this is because few people even thank Him, which is with great regret! So if you see that Allah has helped you and bestowed upon you some virtue, be grateful towards Him beyond your normal ability, then know this without doubt is a tremendous blessing from Allah upon you and as the poet said in a poem:

"If a blessing of Allah is a blessing, then it is a must upon you to do nothing except repay it equally to Him, by means of expressing thankfulness, so how could you have received such a blessing, except that it be by way of His great virtue (upon you), so if time passes, such habit (showing thankfulness) may be part of your daily life."

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said: Indeed the people follow their scholars and righteous worshippers, so if the scholars are wicked and the worshippers are ignorant, then the calamity through them will be widespread and the fitna will (have a) great (effect) on individuals and the general masses.

Miftaah Daar As-Sa’aadah’ by Imaam Ibnul Qayyim’ 1/160
Allah is All-Aware of what occurs in every place and everyone will be held to account.

In this verse is a severe warning for the oppressors and a comfort for the oppressed. Tafsir At-Tabari, Al-Qurtubi, Al-Baghawi & As-Sa’di

Fear Allah regarding His Rights upon you & regarding yourselves & the rights of people upon you.

Imam As-Sa’di, oppression in this verse includes the servant transgressing the Rights of the Creator Allah and oppressing and transgressing the rights of the creation.
THE TYPE OF JEALOUSY THAT ALLAH LOVES & HATES

"From the types of jealousy is the jealousy that Allah Almighty hates, and it's the jealousy of a man over his family, while being suspicious of them. There is jealousy that Allah loves and it's the jealousy that a man has for his family while not being suspicious of them and trusting them."*

The call of Jaahiliyyah is still there except that the wording changes from time to time:

Allaah تعالى said:

{And when it is said to them: "Follow what Allaah has revealed," they say: "Rather, we will follow that which we found our fathers doing." Even though their fathers understood nothing, nor were they guided?}
📚 [Surah al-Baqarah (2):170]

🔥 People give many excuses to not follow the Qur'aan and Sunnah. Some say: "shall we give up the ways of our forefathers?", others say: "this is what we grew up doing!", then there are those who say: "the way of the Salaf is safer but ours is wiser", and now something in the market: "this is how news is reported!"

🔥 It is bad to oppose the Qur'aan and Sunnah, but it is worse when a person regresses and opposes them after knowing the Truth and after being reminded, and prefers to follow the principles which are alien to Islaam.

Allaah تعالى said:

{And when it is said to him, "Fear Allaah", he is led by arrogance to (more) crime...}
📚 [Surah al-Baqarah (2): 206]
Hospitality and Sharing: How the Salaf Lived

Muhammad b. Ziyâd said, “I met [some of] the Salaf. They would live in one building with their families. One of them might receive guests, and the cooking pot of another might be on the fire (with food being cooked). The host would take the pot to serve his guest, and the owner of the pot would find it had gone and would ask, “Who has taken the pot?” The host would reply, “We have taken it for our guest.” The owner would say, “May Allâh bless it for you,” or something similar. Baqîyah (one of the reporters) said, “Muhammad said, ‘And it was the same when they baked bread; and they had only a wall of reeds separating them in those days.’” Baqîyah added, “And I remember seeing such times with Muhammad b. Ziyâd and his friends.””

[Al-Bukhârî, Al-Adab Al-Mufrad. Shaykh Al-Albânî (Sahîh Al-Adab Al-Mufrad p268) said this narration’s chain of narration is sahîh]

POWER OF ISTIGFÂR

🍁Make a lot of Istighfār as it is a barrier from the punishment of Allāh ﷻ

'and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness.'

‌‎[Sūrah al-Anfāl Āyah 33]

🍁Moreover Allāh ﷻ mentions regarding the Muhsinūn & Muttaqūn that they would make Istighfār especially in the time before dawn...

"وبالأسحار هم يستغفرون"
'And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness.'

[Sūrah al-Dhāriyāt Āyah 18]

HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE PRAYER, THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN FROM THE HEEDLESS.

The remembrance of Allāh is the reason that the servant was created. Through it he attains righteousness and succes. The intent from the establishment of the prayer is this mighty purpose. Had it not been for the prayer that is repeated by the believers every day and night to remind them of Allāh wherein they continuously recite the Qur'ān, praise Allāh, supplicate and beseech Him as it is the core of the prayer, they would have been from the heedless.

{ وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِذِكْرِىٓ }

"And establish the prayer for My Remembrance." [20:14]

GENTLENESS IN THE AFFAIRS AND INTERACTION WITH PEOPLE

From the affairs that the servant will become a key to good is to have gentleness in the affairs and interaction with people who have noble manners. For indeed, this is from the greatest of assistants for you to become a key to good; and be sure, oh noble Muslim, that it is impossible for the ill-mannered and harsh to be capable of opening the hearts of the people to him by them, i.e. these ill-manners and harshness. Allaah said to his Prophet, may peace and blessings be upon him, the best of the children of Adam:

{ فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ ٱلْقَلْبِ لَٱنفَضُّوا۟ مِنْ حَوْلِكَ }

"And by the Mercy of Allaah, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you..."

The most beloved to Allah:

Ibn Umar reported:

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people. The most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or to remove one of his troubles, or to forgive his debt, or to feed his hunger. That I walk with a brother regarding a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this mosque in Medina for a month. Whoever swallows his anger, then Allah will conceal his faults. Whoever suppresses his rage, even though he could fulfill his anger if he wished, then Allah will secure his heart on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever walks with his brother regarding a need until he secures it for him, then Allah Almighty will make his footing firm across the bridge on the day when the footings are shaken.”

Worship activates the body:

Imam Ahmad collected what Wahab bin Munabih said with his chain of narrators:

'Whoever worships increases in strength and whoever is lazy increases in weakness.'

Imam Ibn Katheer said:

'This matter has been experienced, that worship activates the body and soothes. Sleep causes the body to become lazy so it becomes hard.'
