How To Track Zcash Transactions
Zcash is only partially private, not automatically untraceable
It uses ZKPs and supports both transparent and shielded addresses, so only fully shielded z → z transactions are hidden, while a lot of activity still happens through transparent addresses
Most ZEC activity can still be tracked through visible entry and exit points. Because exchanges and institutions often use transparent addresses, tools like Arkham can label and follow a large share of Zcash volume (fully shielded transfers remain opaque)
