#UPSC PRELIMS 2026
It is completely normal to feel blank or anxious right now, but do not mistake this stress for a lack of preparation. Your brain is simply reacting to the pressure; the moment you open that question paper, the fog will lift and your knowledge will begin to flow naturally.
For today, cut the noiseโavoid last-minute panic, random revisions, or social media predictionsโand focus entirely on your logistics, such as your admit card, ID proof, pens, and travel plan.
Tomorrow, your calmness, confidence, and presence of mind will be your greatest assets, proving far more valuable than any last-minute cramming.
You have put in the hard work and are ready for this; take a deep breath, trust your journey, and go into the exam hall knowing you have earned your place there.

ITBP commando Vikas Singh (stationed at the 32nd battalion in Maharajpur) admitted his mother, Nirmala Devi, to Krishna Hospital at Tatmill Chowraha for breathing issues. He alleges that a faulty injection or cannula placement caused severe gangrene and infection, forcing doctors at a subsequent hospital to amputate her hand on 17 May 2026 to save her life.
Jawan repeatedly approached the local Railbazar police station and the ACP office but faced administrative delays. Desperate, he brought his mother's amputated hand to the Kanpur Police Commissionerate. A subsequent report by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) was criticized for being highly ambiguous and seemingly giving a clean chit to the hospital, which deeply angered the jawan and his unit.
