ISRO has identified MM-4 as the primary, safe landing site for the Chandrayaan-4 mission.
The site is located in the Mons Mouton region of the Moon's South Polar region.
The site lies at approximately 84.289ยฐ South latitude and 32.808ยฐ East longitude.
Chandrayaan-4 is designed as a sample-return mission targeting a 2028 launch to bring lunar soil/rock samples back to Earth.
