What is 1267 committee of the UNSC?
In simple terms, it is body at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) designates terrorists. Countries can propose name, & if countries agree, the person/group is designated as a terrorists.

All 15 members of the UNSC are its members.

The committee came into being under Resolution 1267, passed on Oct 15, 1999. It was initially targeting Taliban but expended to include Al Qaida, ISIL & others. The committee maintains a list of sanctioned individuals, or terrorists.

India plans to list TRF as a UN terror entity
President has sent a list of 14 questions to the Supreme Court seeking its opinion on the validity of its recent verdict, which set deadlines for governors and the President to decide on state bills. The President invoked Article 143(1) to address concerns about the court's 'overreach'.

The US has a vibrant strategic, economic and defence partnership with India, while Pakistan, where the man who attacked New York was found and killed by the US, moved away from America's orbit. But the US continues to hyphenate India, a partner, and Pakistan, which is armed by China, its most powerful geopolitical rival, and Turkey, a treaty ally. This is the strategic picture of today's world.
