So a few thoughts about the current travel restrictions: The UK has just banned vacations abroad, threatening a $7000 fine for those who break the alleged rule. Now, if a large portion of the vaccinated feel safe enough and want to finally get out after this year of hell, there would be a lot of people taking this opportunity to fly somewhere fun for their holidays. However, remember that one of the most dangerous side effects of these new vaccines is their tendency to induce blood clotting. And we also know that one of the dangers involved with long distance plane travel is thrombosis. What this could potentially mean is there would be planeload after planeload full of dead people landing at their quite literal final destination.

With this in mind, lets look at some numbers. These are the numbers for #injections per 100 people. Since the current vaccine calls for two shots, cut the numbers in half to get the general idea of how much of the total population has gotten vaccinated.

There's a small sampling of countries. UK and Israel have already issued travel bans. UAE vaccination rate is quite high and it's also a rich country, so they will fly more internationally and because of their location usually further. The others are somewhat poor, probably don't travel very much and most US vaccinated so far are the elderly, sick, poor etc. who rarely fly. Also much US vacation travel occurs by car.

So if I'm right about this, I'd make a bet that UAE would be most likely to issue a travel ban...and would you look at that...

So, my hypothesis is this: These draconian travel bans have absolutely nothing to do with containing a virus with a 99.97% total recovery rate. They are much more likely a liability shield ensuring there are not fleets of flying coffins landing all over the world filled with freshly vaccinated corpses.
