Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nephew to former President John F. Kennedy had his account taken down - he is considered one of the most vocal COVID vaccination critics.
Instagram's official statement says: "We removed this account for repeatedly sharing debunked claims about the coronavirus or vaccines."
Facebook had recently announced a new effort to combat Covid-19 misinformation, along with a zero tolerance policy for repeat offenders. Facebook owns and operates Instagram.
