Jed Whedon ha rivelato che c'era un'idea per far viaggiare Sousa nel tempo e farlo andare sotto copertura nei panni dell'agente Saunders alla battaglia di New York, ma l'idea è stata abbandonata per via dei conflitti con la linea temporale
