Tricky Store OSS: A tricky of keystore they forgot to hide

Remember when someone said:
Due to the rampant misuse and the contributions received after open-sourcing being less than expected, this module will be closed-source

Translation: "Thanks for the PRs, I'll take it from here… behind locked doors."

- AOSP headers? Borrowed/License headers stripped.
- LGPLv3 library? Linked statically, license violated.
- "PRs welcome"? Sure — until it's "all rights reserved."

Know more: https://github.com/beakthoven/TrickyStoreOSS/blob/main/docs/5ec1cff-violations.md

Hence, Tricky Store OSS was built:

- 100% FOSS (GPLv3 licensed)
- Clean rewrite, not “borrowed or forked"
- Same features, less sus

If your keystore hack locks the source along with your bootloader... maybe it’s time for OSS.

So, Intel rebranded Comet Lake...

Ah, you know how it is. You start looking for a pen, or a sticky note, or maybe some spare change, and suddenly you start finding things you lost years ago.

In Intel's case, that appears to be a load of Comet Lake-era Core i5 10400 CPUs, but not to worry—it's simply rebranded them as Core i5 110 CPUs, to sync up with its relentlessly-confusing modern chip naming schemes. Oh, and under code name, it's listed as "products formerly known as Comet Lake." How very Prince.

Yes, even though it has a fancy new name, you could be the proud owner of a five-year-old six-core, twelve-thread CPU with a maximum boost rate of 4.3 GHz and twelve full MB of L3 cache. You can't dispute that this kind of rebranding makes it even more difficult for the typical user to choose their next upgrade, even though it's probably still a really good CPU in many situations. Furthermore, the Core i5 110 is an LGA 1200 socket processor, which is two generations behind.

Spotify released Lossless earlier this month, and I still found it useless due to their pricing and the bit rate limit that they have.

In context, Xiaomi decided to lockdown someone's device from lost mode, he can't even unlock it.

Oh right, for the translation (don't mind the english 'cuz weon speak chinese):

Xiaomi phone users, do not try to find the lost mode on your phone if you have nothing to do. A friend just clicked it on a normal device, and even knowing the password, they couldn't exit it. After a factory reset, the activation lock couldn't be removed, and the phone couldn't even be turned off, resulting in a three-day brick.

Your channel host was also forcibly controlled for three days before and reported that this is not a bug, it's a feature 🤷‍♀️
