ARM demands destruction of all PCs with Snapdragon X
ARM and Qualcomm are clashing over licensing agreements. ARM claims Qualcomm broke the deal by buying Nuvia and using its cores in Snapdragon X chips, which isn't covered by their license. ARM, in their lawsuit, demands that Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Microsoft, Lenovo, Samsung and other smaller manufacturers should destroy all notebooks or mini PCs with Snapdragon X CPUs.
This might be why Microsoft prefers to work with Mediatek and Nvidia rather than Qualcomm.
Qualcomm fired back with a lawsuit, accusing ARM of not delivering promised items. ARM wants to push through a new licensing models to base license costs on the price of the device rather than the processor.
The first court hearing is in December 2024, so the fate of these devices is uncertain for now.

Apple is not paying OpenAI to use ChatGPT in iOS 18
Neither Apple nor OpenAI is paying the other for the integration of ChatGPT. Instead, Apple values the exposure and technology integration, considering it equal to monetary payment.
Apple aims to secure revenue-sharing deals with AI companies, earning a cut from AI partners who monetize chatbot results on Apple platforms.
Currently, OpenAI’s ChatGPT iOS app supports ChatGPT Plus payments through Apple's In-App Purchase system, giving Apple a 15-30% cut.

A new Linux malware named 'DISGOMOJI' has been discovered, targeting Indian government agencies. Linked to a Pakistan-based threat actor 'UTA0137', it uses Discord and emojis for command and control (C2). The malware targets the custom Linux distribution BOSS, used by Indian government agencies.

uevent_seqnum.sh' to steal data. Using the open-source project discord-c2, it connects to a Discord server, awaiting emoji commands to exfiltrate data and steal credentials.DISGOMOJI listens for new messages in the command channel on the Discord server. C2 communication takes place using an emoji-based protocol where the attacker sends commands to the malware by sending emojis to the command channel, with additional parameters following the emoji where applicable. While DISGOMOJI is processing a command, it reacts with a “Clock” emoji in the command message to let the attacker know the command is being processed. Once the command is fully processed, the “Clock” emoji reaction is removed and DISGOMOJI adds a “Check Mark Button” emoji as a reaction to the command message to confirm the command was
executed.

We have noticed that there are certain news articles circulating in the mainstream media with the subject 'Zomato in talks to acquire Paytm’s movies, ticketing business'. This voluntary disclosure is being made to clarify our stance on the matter given that any transaction that is considered potentially meaningful may create uncertainty in the market. We acknowledge that we are in discussions with Paytm for the aforementioned transaction, however, no binding decision has been taken at this stage that would warrant a Board approval and subsequent disclosure in accordance with applicable
