Case study
Dell 3521 (LA-9104P)
Fault - sometime on, display comes then shutdown within 1 minute
and some time didn't on
*Clue* - dc reading sometime 0.005 and sometime 0.003
π Clean the board
π Vin ok, 3/5v ok
π Check 3/5v output by DSO, there is little disturbance
π Replace output capacitor, now clear but problem not solved
π Check on/off switch - 2.3v and sometime 2.9v
π check impedance on Dc-Dc mosfets, output ok but input very low with buzzer
π Check LDO voltage, 5v ok but 3.3v not proper
π Apply flux and just resold all pins
π₯ Boom
Problem solved
Display good and board continues on
Think simple and stupid πππ

π₯Case Study hp laptop, part number LA-C811P comes with in dead and liquid damage.
π₯I open laptop find rust and & corrosion near core ic and charger ic.
π₯Clean full motherboard and check any shorting. All good
π₯Plug dc reeding goes to 0.0011 press power button laptop turn on and give display.
π₯again i plug dc same reeding at that same time I connect battery also now reeding goes 11, 15, 0.007 back 11
π₯for testing purpose I connect only battery and turn on laptop, laptop was turn on and give display now I connected dc now reeding 0.000. Removed battery also same. First fet not switch.
π₯ first mosfet 0v on gate, remove discharging most same condition replaced first mosfet still same now i check charger ic requirement.
π₯first vin for charger i have 3.48V back trace it found one resistor PRB6 10 ohm, one side 20v other side 3.48v check value showing value in Kilo ohm. I replaced thatβs resistor now reeding back to 0.0011.
π₯ Now i put back first mosfet laptop working fine and i put new discharging mosfet PQB13. Now connected battery and charger at same time and now battery also charging and laptop work fine.
π₯π₯π₯Thanks to md Rafi Sir gives us 30 millisecond Technologyπ₯π₯π₯

πRemove Standby ic (PU8) 8A
πAfter remove Impidance ok
πReplace 8A Standby ic with new
πAfter replace Connect with DC supply DC showing again short same reading
πBut 3volt coil Impidance is ok
πCheck Ic Impidance found VREG3 pin no.15 showing short again remove stand by ic
πInject 1.5 volt on VREG3 pin
πio getting heat Remove io Kb9022 Programmable
πNow check Impidance pin no.15 showing good
πPut back Standby ic in motherboard
πConnect with DC supply without io check standby ic VREG3 and VREG5 is ok
πNow Replace old io with new fresh io
πNow connect with DC supply DC reading 0.001
πCheck standby after Change io Vreg3 showing 0volt
πAgain Remove one Jumper pad PJ4
πNow check with multimeter Vreg3 volt ok
πRemove io and put jumper back (PJ4)
πVreg3 is ok it means my new io is also foulty
πNow i put io from scrap board
πConnect with DC supply DC reading 0.011π
πNow connect with Programmer and program io
πafter program triggered mb
πMB power on but no display DC reading is 200
πBack trace Check dc/dc circuit found U20 Dc ic
πCheck this ic requirement all ok but 5volt not cross
πI don't have this ic remove ic and put jumper for testing purpose
π Triggered mb finaly display comeπ₯°π₯°π₯°
