It has been an incredible honor to participate at the #ETEX2025 at the Addis Ababa International Convention Centre #AICC since May 16th. As #AI and #Cybersecurity continue to redefine this era, being part of an event dedicated to these transformative technologies was a remarkable opportunity to showcase our groundbreaking innovation—#AfroRead. 

As one of the winners of the #ETEX2025 Booth Sponsorship Program, we successfully introduced our cutting-edge solution to attendees, engaging with industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers. Additionally, participating in high-level discussions and listening to keynote speeches further enriched our experience, reinforcing the importance of technology in shaping Africa’s digital future.

Call for Editors – Join AfroRead's Editor’s Desk
Deadline: June 20, 2025
AfroRead is excited to launch the Editor’s Desk, a new initiative dedicated to supporting Ethiopian writers by connecting them with skilled editors. We are looking for passionate volunteer editors to join our team and help shape high-quality literary works across diverse genres.
This is a one-year voluntary position with no financial compensation. Instead, editors will receive:
•  Free professional development trainings
•  Networking opportunities with authors and fellow editors
•  An official Certificate of Editorial Service upon successful completion of the year

Genres/Subjects: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Poetry, Academic Writing, History, Business, Self-Help, Children’s Literature, Biography, Science & Technology

Key Responsibilities
•  Review and edit manuscripts for structure, clarity, style, and grammar
•  Collaborate with authors to improve and polish their work
•  Ensure consistency and editorial quality in all assignments

Eligibility
•  Editorial experience in one or more of the subject areas
•  Credited editor on at least 2 published books
o  Please attach screenshots showing your name on the book’s editorial page
•  Strong language and communication skills
•  Degree in Literature, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is a plus
•  Must be able to work remotely and meet deadlines
