Editor's Desk Coming Soon!

Over the past two to three years, as we have published the works of Ethiopian authors on the AfroRead mobile app and bring them to readers, we have identified a significant challenge. Many authors struggle to find professional editors to review their manuscripts. When we asked who has edited their work, they often mention a friend or rely solely on their own judgment, believing their work is ready for publication.

This situation has led many authors to take on the roles of writer, reviewer, and editor simultaneously, creating a noticeable gap in the professional editing of literary works. To address this challenge sustainably, AfroRead is establishing an Editor's Desk, bringing together literary experts with extensive experience, knowledge, and professional expertise.

Before submitting works to AfroRead, authors will have the opportunity to have their content reviewed and professionally edited to ensure it meets publication standards. We want to emphasize that going forward, books will only be published on our platform after a thorough editorial review to maintain consistency and quality in all aspects.

This initiative ensures that authors can present their best work without fear of poor quality, while readers receive content that offers true value for their time and money. Stay tuned for the launch of the Editor's Desk—a step toward elevating Ethiopian literature to new heights.
