Who said it?
Not bad!

This quote was of course ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณGandhiโ€™s quote. โ€œTheyโ€ are the British army occupying India.
#116 Our favourite mistakes: Grammar

โ–ถ๏ธ Please translate the following sentence:
Men ham bilmayman.

โŒ Perhaps you think it is:
I donโ€™t know, too.

โœ… Well, it should be:
a) I donโ€™t know either. b) I also donโ€™t know.

โ“Why?

โ—๏ธ The word too in the meaning of also cannot be used in negative sentences. Instead we have to use either.

โ—๏ธ Also can be used in any situation.

๐ŸŽ‰ Special Day: April Fool's

โ–ถ๏ธ For news outlets (=TV stations, radio stations and newspapers) in Europe 1 April is a special day on which fake news are celebrated. Watch how this became a tradition in 1957 when the BBC fooled the British people with a report about the spaghetti harvest in Switzerland. Happy April Foolโ€™s!

#40 YouTube Channel Recommendation: Wondastic Tech

๐Ÿ“Š English Level: Almost no words

๐Ÿ”ค Subtitles: Available

๐Ÿ’ฌ Topics: Industry

๐Ÿ’ก Content: Every day we consume things of which we donโ€™t actually know how they are produced. Visiting factories is really interesting but not easy to do. Check out this channel to find out how stuff is made!

#76 Travelogue Germany: Greener than Green

Germans have always been sure about one thing โ€“ to save the world you have to start at home. Under Hitler it was about saving the human race from degeneration and in the pandemic Germans have proven to be particularly zealous about combatting the virus with tons of rules. But letโ€™s focus on the good side of that same coin โ€“ the environment!

Renewable energy
Half of the electricity produced comes from renewable sources like wind and solar energy. You can see many houses that have solar panels on their roof.

Cyclism
Riding a bike is no sign of poverty in Germany. On the contrary, it shows that you care about the environment and your health.

Climate action
Some people, especially young and left-leaning ones, demand more government action when it comes to climate change.

You could praise the Germans for their commitment to save the world, but you could also argue that they moralise and lack real-life problems.
