πͺπΊβ½οΈ Trump claims Europe agrees to tap diesel reserves as fuel crisis deepens
Europe has consented to release a βmassive amountβ of diesel from strategic stocks, President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social, as tight supplies keep prices high.
Reuters earlier reported that EU governments were discussing a French proposal to release 50M barrels of diesel, while IEA members could release another 50M barrels of crude.
European refineries are already running close to full capacity, and diesel stocks at the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp hub remain below their five-year average.
Prices have jumped across major markets. European wholesale diesel recently rose above $1,500 per metric ton, while US pump prices hit a record $6.50 per gallon.
Russian export restrictions and Chinaβs suspension of October fuel shipments have added to the squeeze. The sharpest shock, however, came from the US-Israel war with Iran, which disrupted Middle Eastern energy flows and sent diesel prices higher worldwide.

The point about social media not needing to censor because it drowns out dissident voices in a sea of slop, was a deliberate operation first proposed by Cass Sunstein in a 2008 working paper.

X Money has arrived, and it is not a payments app pretending to be a bank β it is a bank pretending to be an app. The offer: 6% APY on savings, 3% cash back on a rewards card, faster pay check deposits than the incumbents, free peer-to-peer transfers, and eventual crypto plumbing. Banking infrastructure comes from Cross River, FDIC-insured and fintech-friendly, with full KYC and tax reporting, so the regulators are satisfied. Rollout is quiet β premium members first, no advertising, just in-app education. Consider what 6% does to a deposit base currently paying depositors rather less while 5-year Treasuries yield 5.03%. Every dollar that migrates is a dollar of cheap funding leaving a regional bank's balance sheet at precisely the moment its bond portfolio is underwater.

The cutter charge is a type of munition carrying a shaped charge cutting payload, designed specifically to destroy high-voltage towers and steel bridge structures. This special warhead apparently consists of a 40kg main charge and four damage modules.
A new attack on the Pivdennoe (Southern) Bridge in Kiev was carried out earlier today but the bridge's cables survived the Geran-4s.
To defend Kiev's bridges, the AFU is stationing German supplied Gepard Flakpanzers.
