β½οΈ πΊπΈ πΌ US national average diesel price has crossed $6 / gal for the first time ever β GasBuddy
The national average price of diesel has climbed to $6.00 per gallon for the first time in history, according to GasBuddy, whose live, real-time data reflects key thresholds like this one first. It is a level diesel has never reached, and it comes less than a week after prices set a fresh all-time record of $5.85
While gasoline gets the headlines, diesel is the fuel that moves the economy, powering the freight trucks, trains, agricultural equipment, and construction machinery behind nearly everything Americans buy. That means its impact reaches far beyond the transportation sector. As diesel climbs, higher supply chain costs work their way into the price of groceries, household goods, deliveries, and countless other products families rely on every day, even for households that never fuel a diesel vehicle
At $6.00 per gallon, diesel is now up roughly $2.30 from a year ago, when the national average sat near $3.70
βNot every day are new all-time records set, and this will be a particularly painful one for the economy that may not even be immediately felt, but record diesel prices will impact every cargo, shipment, every delivery Americans are taking, and are likely to reignite inflation up and down the supply chain. And for now, it comes at a time of year when diesel prices also traditionally rise, adding more pain. I suggest Americans anticipate a costlier holiday season, as it appears diesel prices could continue climbing as geopolitical tensions continue to remain a main factor,β said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy

Wowβ¦ so the lone holdout in the Lindsay Clancy caseβ¦. NBC visited his landlord.
So how did they get that information if the judge sealed all the jurors names?
The jurors slowly leaked it⦠it was a man⦠(only 3).. he was black. Voila, reporters followed him.
Whoever the man is, I hope he sues the shit out of all of them.

π»Fields Medal laureates warn of the dangers of AI for science. The text of their open letter was published by the Math and AI portal.
The scientists noted that in recent months, news about the successes of neural networks in solving complex mathematical problems has become a topic of discussion both within and outside the scientific community. At the same time, they emphasized that the rapid solution of problems leaves no time for developing new methods and creates problems with authorship and plagiarism.

"The United States a few months ago undermined the potential of US stable coins by freezing a few hundred million of stable coins held by Iran. The end result was foreign sovereign entities exiting stable coins. The original goal of using this new currency class as a means to be a Treasury sink went out the window, at least with sovereign entities as well as wealthy whales who do not want their cash assets vulnerable to a single call from Washington DC. Washington had the opportunity to let its enemies integrate themselves fully with stable coins then destabilize their financial systems in one fell swoop, similar to Israel with its pager bombs or its network that it used in the start of the current Iran-Israel conflict in 2025 to wreck far, far more havoc than all the missiles launched by Israel and her vassal βoverlordβ combined. Likewise they reduced stable coinβs potential for sinking treasury bonds which wouldβve driven rates much lower."

Happy Fatherβs Day to Dads Down Under!
Our societies are built out of smaller structures that stand between the individual and the broader society. These structures hold the society together: church, fraternity, union, local association, etc. We could call these βintermediary structures.β
The ultimate intermediary structure is the father.
He is the proper household sovereign. He is the decider in shaping his children. He is the familyβs spiritual compass.
Above all, he is the familyβs last line of defence against tyranny. The word βfatherβ goes back to a Bronze Age root *pehβ- meaning βto protect.β A father is, in the end, a protector.
As the protector, he stands between the family and the forces of evil that crowd around it. He is the final boss that liberalism must defeat in order to squash all human difference and particularity. This is why the father is the most vilified figure in modernity.
The vilification of the father is the root of all feminism, all anti-natalism, anything that is against folkhood and you having a country.
The father is the cornerstone that holds up the world. When you look around, you might think the world is made of matter, or ideas, or energy. Most fundamentally, it is made of fatherhood.
Happy Fatherβs Day.
