TIL the Spinning Jenny, invented in 1764, let one worker spin 8 threads at once instead of one, massively increasing yarn production. Angry workers attacked inventor James Hargreaves' home, destroyed his machines, and forced him to flee to Nottingham.

The Wall Street Journal writes that the CIA didn't believe the Israeli intelligence report but the U.S. Secret Service wanted to take "no chances".
The WSJ citing U.S. intelligence officials wrote that the Israelis passed the report to the U.S. president not because it was true but because they wanted to sour relations between Trump and the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoฤan, who is a rival of Israel.
The WSJ noted that the Israeli report "fit a broader pattern" which sought to influence (manipulate) Donald Trump's decision making rather than simply being informative which is the real purpose of an intelligence report.

Another outstanding keynote lined up for the Heaviside Symposium.

In this talk, we focus on two more of Heavisideโs seminal discoveries in physics, Cherenkov radiation and gravitational waves. Both of these are now recognised by specialists as important discoveries, but neither are widely celebrated in the broader scientific community.

TPUSA producer Blake Neff slipped up badly when he inadvertently revealed a motive showing how TPUSA benefited from Charlie Kirkโs assassination when he tweeted that the killing could have "united" the MAGA movement, which had been fracturing over the Epstein files and the war in Gaza.
"Wow, you just confessedโฆCharlie Kirk's assassination was supposed to unite MAGA movement that had been tearing itself apart... You literally just provided TPUSA's motive for his murder."
"It's almost like he's saying, 'Yeah, it was a good idea to murder Charlie Kirk because it gave the right wing and the Republicans something to rally around...' It's almost like he's admitting that the Charlie Kirk assassination was pre-planned for that very reason."
"They've even pretended that Charlie Kirk would have been for the Iran war. There's only about, I don't know, an hour and a half straight of video clips of him saying the exact opposite. Not only was he against the Iran war, he was against the bombing that they did a year and a half earlier."

Moscow: Drone/AI Homestead Surveillance Already Operational as Poultry Registration Deadline Looms.
In Moscow Oblast, the first automated fine of 150,000 rubles was issued to a landowner after drones filmed the property and AI identified hogweed.
The system then matched GPS coordinates to property data and automatically issued a citation.
This infrastructure for continuous automated surveillance of private property (drones + AI + owner matching + automated fines) is already operational under the banner of invasive-species control.
Given a right crisis โ be it bird flu, radiation scare after a claimed nuclear incident, or otherwise โcontaminatedโ soil or other public health excuse to render gardens illegal โ this same pipeline can be flipped to detect & enforce unregistered backyard gardens and flocks.
See my previous report on drone surveillance of livestock/gardens: here.

"The document that starts the whole catastrophe is a merchantโs delivery order. A fragment of burned parchment found in the town of Provins, listing thirty-six sous for wagons of hay, six new lengths of cloth with seal for rue des Blancs-Manteaux, and six bunches of six Crusadersโ roses at twenty deniers each for six locations in the town on the feast of Saint John, including three bunches for the whoresโ street because the prostitutes wanted little hats of roses for the feast day too. That is the entire secret. A retired colonel misreads it as a Templar plan for world domination, three editors at a Milan publishing house take his misreading and build a coherent seven-century conspiracy on top of it, and the readers who receive that conspiracy believe it so completely that they hang one of the editors from the wire of Foucaultโs pendulum in a Paris museum on the night of Saint Johnโs Eve. This is the mechanism Foucaultโs Pendulum (1988) puts under a microscope. The mechanism is not that credulous people invent patterns where none exist. The mechanism is that fabricated grand conspiracies serve as cover for the ordinary coordination of power. Invent a seven-century Templar-Rosicrucian-Merovingian synthesis and hand it to the credulous, and three things follow. You satisfy the appetite for hidden meaning, which lets people stop looking at what is actually in front of them. You produce the crank profile the establishment needs to discredit anyone asking real questions. You build a decoy elaborate enough that the actual mechanisms of power operate unremarked while everyone chases the map."
