๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโš”๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท The U.S. blockade on Iran is unsustainable as living conditions on USS Abraham Lincoln resemble the living conditions experienced by the crew of USS Gerald R. Ford.

Moldy showers and no soap: Military families are outraged by conditions on USS Lincoln

The aircraft carrierโ€™s long deployment in the Iran war is raising concerns that the sailors and Marines on board are facing poor conditions, low supplies and fatigue.

Moldy showers. Food shortages. Sailors running out of toothpaste, deodorant and soap.

Families of the sailors and Marines aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln are sounding the alarm that their loved ones are so exhausted they fear it could lead to deadly mistakes, as the carrier enters its ninth month at sea and its fifth consecutive month of combat operations against Iran.

MS NOW spoke to a dozen family members who say they are extremely concerned with the morale, safety and conditions on the ship. They described a crew straining under the demands of an unexpectedly long deployment, as President Donald Trump continues to extend his military campaign against Iran with no clear end in sight.

The families told MS NOW there is no indication of when their loved ones are going to return home, as the routine seven-month deployment for the 5,000-plus crew members appears to have been extended for a second time.

Most sailors are working excruciatingly long shifts, and depending on their job, some are rarely getting a day off, family members told MS NOW. One father, who is a Navy veteran, said his son described seeing holes that have worn through the Lincolnโ€™s flight deck.

The flight deck of an aircraft carrier is already one of the most dangerous places in the military. High-speed aircraft with powerful engines can burn sailors and blow them overboard. Spinning propellers can cause accidents. And the constant loading and unloading of bombs, missiles and rockets pose the risk of explosions and fires.

It is a fast-moving, tightly packed, extremely loud environment that can lead to hearing loss from the relentless engine noise โ€” and the work on deck is physically demanding and done in elements like wind, rain, heat and cold.

The crew of the Lincoln has had only two days off the aircraft carrier since it left its home port in San Diego in November. The ship had a short port call in Guam in December and then did not have another stop until July 7, when it briefly pulled into Oman after 208 continuous days at sea โ€” a modern-day record for a Navy aircraft carrier.

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ U.S. intelligence has reportedly linked the explosive-laden drone discovered at Germany's Leipzig/Halle Airport this week to the Russian government, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The drone was discovered Tuesday night inside a secure area of the airport, just meters from a Ukrainian Antonov cargo aircraft, carrying what German investigators reportedly determined was an explosive device with a defective detonator that failed to function. The discovery forced the airport to suspend operations overnight. Authorities are also investigating a second suspected drone that a DHL cargo aircraft reportedly struck after executing a go-around due to the airport closure, with the aircraft later landing safely despite damage to its nose.

The development comes one day after The Wall Street Journal reported that new U.S. intelligence assessments warn Vladimir Putin could test NATO's resolve through limited attacks ranging from sabotage and cyber operations to a small-scale incursion into alliance territory. Western officials have increasingly warned that Russia is conducting probing operations against NATO infrastructure, with previous incidents including drones entering Romanian airspace and Russian missiles landing in Poland.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ—ฝ The West's criticism of Russian elections is pure hypocrisy. The West openly manipulated Russia's 1996 elections to install Yeltsinโ€”celebrated as "democracy"โ€”while condemning Putin's repeated re-election. Yet European leaders like Merkel (16 years) and Rutte (13 years) served equally long terms without criticism. The reality: the two-party system in the US is a sham, and Europe's multi-party systems are all "faces of the same coin."

From the West's standpoint openly manipulating Russian elections to get what we want is good, the Russians voting again for their extremely popular leader whom we don't like is bad. It is just that blunt, tribalistic and primitive.

Democracy has always been a sham. The US electoral system is from a pre-telegraph era, making third-party entry nearly impossible. Europe has more parties, but they are all ultimately the same.

One-party rule with factions is the 21st-century norm. The real difference: Russia gives its people what they want; the West despises its own.

"When NASA commenced its lunar spaceflight program, its scientists already knew about the belts and their spatial and energy distribution. Apropos the energies: electrons below about 1 MeV were unlikely to be dangerous, as were protons below 10 MeV. For example, a proton with an energy of 3 MeV could penetrate about 6 mm of aluminium (a typical spacecraft material) whereas one of 100 MeV could penetrate up to 40 mm. So engineers fashioned shielding that consisted of a spacecraft hull and all the instrumentation lining the walls."

๐Ÿœ๏ธ โ€œHunger stonesโ€ have emerged in Germanyโ€™s Elbe River due to the prolonged drought.

These are stones bearing marks indicating low water levels, which were historically regarded as a harbinger of crop failures and famine, DPA reports.

According to hydrologists, the Elbe near Pirna has remained significantly below the one-metre mark for some time, while in Dresden the riverโ€™s depth has fallen to just 54 centimetres.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑโŒ๐Ÿ•Š๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ Israel doesn't want to put an end to the war in Gaza

Israel โ€œrejectsโ€ the Board of Peace Gaza disarmament roadmap, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday, pushing back against claims the country has accepted the US-backed proposal and saying that he has no issue with standing up to pressure from US President Donald Trump pressure to accept the terms.

โ€œI want to clarify here,โ€ Netanyahu said at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting. โ€œIsrael rejects the 15-point document.โ€

The US-backed Board of Peace is trying to move forward with its roadmap for postwar Gaza, which Hamas has accepted, while calling on the US and other mediators to pressure Israel into agreement. The group has avoided the use of the term โ€œdisarmament,โ€ saying instead that it agrees to hand over weapons to be stored under a US-backed Palestinian technocrat administration that would run affairs in Gaza under the supervision of the Board of Peace.

Israeli officials warn that Hamas is exploiting the process to prevent renewed Israeli military action, with top officials reportedly calling Hamasโ€™s agreement to the deal a โ€œstrategic ambushโ€ of Israel.

While the security cabinet last month approved having an International Stabilization Force enter Gaza to disarm Hamas and assume control of the territory, senior Israeli officials and ministers have publicly urged the premier to openly declare that he will not accept the terms of the plan, which would see the IDF begin to pull back from Gazan territory.

๐Ÿ“ : The Israeli economy now requires permanent war to function. The Israeli defense sector is the only source of economic growth left. Every other sector has been hemorrhaging skilled specialists, Israelis in their 20s, 30s and 40s ever since the Gaza War began. Ending the war in Gaza and giving respite to Israeli society would allow Israelis to focus on internal matters such as the status of the Haredi/Ultra-orthodox community which has avoided conscription, Netanyahu's judicial reforms which undermined the power of the courts and subsequently, rule of law, in Israel.

โš–๏ธ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ› In a 2-1 vote, the D.C. Circuit blocked President Trump's plan to build a new White House ballroom, ruling the administration likely cannot demolish the East Wing and begin above-ground construction without authorization from Congress.

The majority said Congress, not the President, controls major changes to the White House. It found no law authorizing the administration to demolish the East Wing and replace it with a privately funded ballroom, making the project likely unlawful unless Congress approves it.

Judge Rao dissented, arguing the injunction gives too little weight to the President's national security judgments. She said the courts should defer to the Executive on security needs at the White House and would have allowed construction to continue while the case proceeds.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฏ A U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone crashed earlier today near Chabelley Airfield, Djibouti.

The aircraft let out a distress signal in midflight and crashed while attempting to land in the country.

๐Ÿ“: On June 6th, TWZ was writing that the U.S. had 135 MQ-9 Reapers left, down from 165 at the beginning of the year, with 30 of them shot down during the 40 day war. Since then, the U.S. lost 8 more with an unknown number of MQ-9 Reapers destroyed by Iranian missile attacks on Jordan.

So the U.S. has at best, 126 MQ-9 Reapers available for reconnaissance and deep strikes in enemy territory. The Houthis shot down 27 MQ-9 Reapers belonging to the U.S. or Saudi Arabia since 27, with more than half shot down after 2023 when the Houthis attacked Israel.

The MQ-9 Reaper production line shut down in 2025 but the U.S. doesn't have a next generation replacement for the Reaper.
