TIL Mesopotamian kings appointed "substitute kings" to absorb bad omens and then had him killed. In ~1861 BC, Erra-ImittΔ« of Isin installed a gardener named Enlil-bΓ’ni as his substitute β€” then died choking on porridge. Enlil-bΓ’ni simply stayed on the throne and ruled for the next 24 years.

A Negative Indicator

Trucking companies are starting to go under. Ten freight and freight-dependent businesses filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the same two-week window. The most alarming is Eagle Logistics, a large carrier with 151 trucks and over 240 drivers, which operated a dedicated U.S. Postal Service route. Eagle listed assets of less than $50,000 and liabilities […]

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ The U.S. Navy has allocated $76.6 billion for the construction of 14 nuclear submarines of the Virginia and Columbia classes.

This was reported by the Defense News publication, citing the U.S. Department of Defense.

The funds will be distributed among three American companies. General Dynamics Electric Boat will be responsible for building five Columbia-class submarines. Nine more submarines of the Virginia class will be built by General Dynamics Electric Boat in partnership with Huntington Ingalls Industries - Newport News Shipbuilding.

In April 2025, the U.S. Navy received a new Virginia-class nuclear submarine, the Iowa. This submarine is capable of carrying Tomahawk cruise missiles.
Previously, it was reported that the U.S. Navy is concerned about the risk of an attack on nuclear submarines, particularly using drones or anti-tank guided missile systems.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Tucker Carlson, Thomas Massie, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Joe Kent have announced the formation of a new anti-war movement in the United States.

Their position is uncompromising: no new wars abroad, no regime changes, no American soldiers or money for conflicts that have nothing to do with the security of the United States itself.

The movement's goal is to restore the true meaning of the slogan "America First." That is, the money should be spent not on missiles and bases thousands of miles away from America, but on the border, industry, jobs, and infrastructure within the country.

They plan to unite conservatives, liberals, and centrists. They intend to enter politics, work in midterm elections, and create an alternative to the Republican establishment, which is increasingly turning into a club of supporters of yet another war.

For the "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) movement, this is no longer just a debate. It's a split on a fundamental issue.

Trump built his campaign on the promise to end endless wars. That's why millions of people, tired of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria, supported him. And then came Iran.

Carlson, Greene, Massie, and Kent say that the president has broken the main agreement with his voters. MAGA is not just Trump's personal brand; it's a specific program. If you abandon it, all that will be left is a sign.

Within the movement, there are now two camps. One is ready to support Trump regardless of his decisions. The other believes that America should not once again pay with blood and trillions of dollars for someone else's war.

And this second camp is already taking shape as an independent political force.

"One presentation cannot do justice to 150 years of electromagnetic science, nor to the historical path that led modern physics away from many of the intuitions of Faraday, Maxwell, Heaviside, and Hertz, or how the Fields & Energy perspective can lead to a deeper understanding of how electromagnetism works. This page collects some of the papers, books, historical references, and Fields & Energy articles that expand upon the ideas presented in my talk. Think of it as the bibliography and study guide that accompanies the presentation."

America's gold is missing and President Trump knows it.

A 1974 article in a New York periodical stated that the Rockefeller family was directing the Federal Reserve to liquidate Fort Knox gold at below-market prices to unnamed European buyers.

3 days after her tip launched that story, Louise Auchincloss Boyer, Nelson Rockefeller's personal secretary, fell to her death from her 10th floor Manhattan apartment.

The investigation ended there and the gold was gone. For 14 years, industrialist Ed Durrell wrote to over 1,000 government and banking officials demanding a full accounting of what remained in the vaults of Fort Knox.

European financial circles were already treating the disappearance as a fact while Washington refused to schedule an audit. Then Reagan's Gold Commission told Congress in 1982 that the Treasury owned none of that gold. Imagine that!

Whatever gold remained in Fort Knox had been transferred to the Federal Reserve β€” a private banking cartel β€” and was being held as collateral against the national debt. The American people were never asked for it and they were never told it was stolen from them.

A full audit conducted under media cameras could settle this within days. 5 decades later, it still has not happened, and no administration has ever explained why it hasn't.

The gold belonged to the public. The vaults are in American soil. So why has every administration from Nixon refused to open those doors to a transparent, independent audit to show what's inside the vaults?

❗️Israel burns more than 120 hectares of centuries-old olive groves in southern Lebanon

β–ͺ️According to L'Orient-Le Jour, Israeli occupation forces set fire to more than 120 hectares (1,200 dunams) of olive groves and fruit orchards in the occupied border town of Yaroun (Bint Jbeil District), with the blaze burning for over 36 hours.

β–ͺ️Yaroun Municipality Chairman Hafez Ghacham told L'Orient that the fire destroyed centuries-old olive trees, some more than 100 years old, while others were at least 50 years old.

β–ͺ️Because the village lies within the area occupied by Israeli forces, residents and firefighters were unable to reach the site, leaving the flames to consume the land unchecked.

β–ͺ️Ghacham described the destruction as an assault on Yaroun's history, identity, and livelihood, saying the olive groves had been passed down through generations and supported dozens of families. He estimated the destroyed land would have produced thousands of cans of olive oil, noting that each dunam yields an average of six cans, with each can worth around $150.

β–ͺ️He recalled watching the fields burn "helpless and in tears," adding that "houses can be rebuilt, but the old olive trees will take decades to return," while his 84-year-old father told him he was "more saddened by the trees than by the house."

β–ͺ️The municipality said it would submit evidence of the destruction to the United Nations, accusing Israel of targeting not only homes but also the environment, cultural heritage, and agricultural life of southern Lebanon.
