Migration is Literally Invasion

For 50 years, the traitors in the West have insisted that immigration is not invasion. And now the inevitable has become undeniable: Spain has deployed just 60 troops to its North African exclave of Ceuta after thousands of migrants overwhelmed security forces and stormed across the border from Morocco, with up to 30,000 more people [โ€ฆ]

13 kg of Mars got stuck to Curiosityโ€™s drill โ€” and NASA spent 6 days getting it off

While drilling a rock called โ€œAtacama,โ€ NASAโ€™s Curiosity rover accidentally lifted the entire 13 kg sandstone slab attached to its drill โ€” something that had never happened in the roverโ€™s 14-year mission.

The rock was too heavy and unstable for the robotic arm to safely move. Engineers tried vibrations and arm repositioning, but nothing worked.

On April 29, the team finally freed it by combining drill rotation, vibration, turret movement, and arm tilting all at once. The rock broke apart as it hit the surface.

Curiosityโ€™s drill is designed to crush Martian rock into powder for chemical analysis. Since landing, the rover has collected 42 drilled samples despite multiple hardware issues over the years.

Originally built for a 2-year mission, Curiosity has now spent more than a decade exploring Gale Crater and helping confirm that ancient Mars once had conditions suitable for life.

Mars still surprises scientists at the exact moment the drill touches the ground. And the fact that Curiosity is still operating after 14 years says as much about JPL engineers as it does about the rover itself.

Hawaii's Lieutenant Governor Indicted In "Biggest Bribery Scandal In State History"

Lt. Gov. Sylvia Luke, a Democrat, was indicted by an Oahu grand jury on Friday on charges of criminal conspiracy to commit bribery, bribery, and falsifying candidate committee reports. The charges stem from an alleged 2022 scheme, dating to her time as a powerful state lawmaker, to steer state money toward COVID-19 testing contracts during the pandemic. Hawaii News Now reported that legal experts are calling it the biggest bribery scandal in state history.

Luke was one of five people named in the 12-count indictment. The others: Ryan Yamane, a former state representative and ex-director of the Department of Human Services; Tobi Solidum, a businessman and lobbyist; Ford Fuchigami, a Transportation Department official; and Leo Asuncion, a former chair of the state Public Utilities Commission. Luke turned herself in Friday afternoon; her bail was set at $80,000.

Gov. Josh Green did not wait for the case to develop. "The Lieutenant Governor needs to consider formally resigning to address this matter and so that the state of Hawaiสปi can move forward," Green said in a statement Friday.

TIL In the U.S., 90% of households have AC. Meanwhile In Europe Just 20% on average have AC. In some countries, such as the UK, that number falls to less than 5%. Also, most European nations donโ€™t have the grid infrastructure to support mass AC adoption.

"He has brought this upon his own country!"

Ben Shapiro responds to Ceuta being flooded with migrants by railing against Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez for opposing Israel.

"I think he needs to recognize Catalonia as its own state!" he quips, drawing parallels to Spain's recognition of Palestine.

"In order to repatriate all of the descendants of the Muslims who were expelled back in 1492, the Spanish government really ought to do the right thing and welcome in all the descendants of all the Muslims who were expelled in 1492โ€”a 'right of return,' you might call it."

"And they should be given Spanish territory and Spanish homes. Otherwise, I think what you have here is just a form of apartheid. I mean, that border fence looks to me like an apartheid fence!"
