HΓΌseyin Dogru is a German citizen and independent journalist who has been placed on a sanctions list by the European Union. The official reason: he provides "hostile support to Russia" through his journalistic work.
To be noticed: his work is not illegal under European legislation. Not in the EU, not in Germany. Yet he is treated as a dangerous enemy of the state. His bank accounts were blocked, completely crippling him financially.
Supermarkets are not even allowed to sell him basic foodstuffs under the sanction rules .

One of the biggest mysteries in astrophysics may be getting closer to an answer.
A new study published in Physical Review Letters suggests that the famous βAmaterasu particleβ β one of the most energetic cosmic rays ever detected β may not have been a proton at all. Instead, it could have been an atomic nucleus heavier than iron.
Discovered in 2021 by the Telescope Array in Utah, the Amaterasu particle carried an astonishing 240 exa-electron volts (EeV) of energy. Thatβs roughly the same kinetic energy as a fast-moving tennis ball β compressed into a single atomic nucleus.
What puzzled scientists most was its apparent origin. The particle seemed to arrive from a vast cosmic void, a region of space with no obvious object capable of accelerating particles to such extreme energies.
Using detailed simulations, researchers found that ultraheavy nuclei may survive intergalactic journeys far better than protons. While lighter particles lose energy through interactions with background radiation, nuclei heavier than iron can retain much more of their original energy over cosmic distances.
If correct, the finding could help explain how particles like Amaterasu reach Earth from seemingly impossible locations.
Possible sources include:
β’ Collapsing massive stars
β’ Neutron star mergers
β’ Gamma-ray bursts
Future instruments such as AugerPrime and the proposed Global Cosmic Ray Observatory may reveal whether these ultraheavy nuclei are truly responsible for some of the most extreme particles ever observed.
Every ultrahigh-energy cosmic ray is a messenger from one of the universeβs most violent events. Understanding what these particles are made of may help us uncover where they come from β and how nature accelerates matter to energies far beyond anything humans can create.
What do you think is the most likely source of particles this extreme?

UAE is finalizing a massive 10-month expansion of a clandestine military base at Berbera Airport in Somaliland. The strategic facility is being equipped with air defense systems, underground bunkers, and drone hangars for use by Abu Dhabi, Washington, and Tel Aviv.
The United Arab Emirates is nearing the completion of a clandestine military facility at Somalilandβs Berbera Airport following a major 10-month expansion effort.
The significant overhaul transforms the civilian airfield into a strategic regional outpost intended for joint use by Abu Dhabi, Washington, and Tel Aviv.
Access to the airport has been strictly prohibited, with the main approach road entirely severed.
The expansion coincides with Israelβs unprecedented recognition of Somalilandβs independence in December 2025.
The geopolitical maneuver aims to secure a forward operating position near Yemen, where Houthi forces initiated hostilities against Israel in late March.
Abu Dhabi is spearheading the development under a 2017 defense pact with the unrecognized republic.
Satellite imagery reveals extensive earthworks and structural fortifications south of the four-kilometer, Soviet-built runway. Excavation crews dug 18 deep trenches in the sandy terrain between October 2025 and March.

After 5 months, none of his goals for Iran were accomplished.
This caused Trump to have a mental breakdown writes the NYT, making him even more erratic than usual, signing a nuclear deal with Saudi Arabia only to rescind it 24 hours later because Benjamin Netanyahu didn't like it, further cementing the idea that Trump's promises and deals are worthless without Netanyahu/Israeli approval.
Russia and China are rethinking their goals for Europe and Taiwan because the West has few interceptors left.
Netanyahu has led the Trump Admin into a war of humiliation.
