πŸ‡»πŸ‡¦β—οΈ β€” On July 1, 2026, despite the Holy See opposition, the Roman Catholic traditionalist Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX/FSSPX, the Lefebvrians) consecrated its new 4 Bishops in EcΓ΄ne, Switzerland.

➑️ According to the FSSPX media, more than 16,500 faithful and 1,800 priests, seminarians, religious men and women attended the ceremony, under heavy rain and worldwide attention for one of the most controversial and iconic moments of Post-Vatican II Catholicism

πŸ—Ί Among the top 10 Nationalities Present:
France
Switzerland
Germany
USA
Poland
Italy
Brazil
Argentina
Belgium
And 59 other nationalities

▢️ More than 30,000 people on the live streams

πŸ‡»πŸ‡¦ Critics of the Fraternal Society say that such consecration was made without Papal Mandate, thus the involved would be in full Schism with the Holy See

✝️ The SSPX now has 6 prelates:
+ Pascal Schreiber
+ Michael Goldade
+ Michel Poinsinet de Sivry
+ Marc Hanappier
+ Alfonso de Galarreta
+ Bernard Fellay

πŸ‡»πŸ‡¦ During the ceremony, when asked if the four new bishops have the apostolic mandate, the notary replied:
β€œIt is the Catholic & Roman church, always faithful to the traditions received from the apostles, who in entirely exceptional circumstances demands that we provide for the upholding of these traditions, that is the deposit of faith & that we take the means necessary to transmit them faithfully to all men for the salvation of their souls.

Since the Second Vatican Council up to the present day the authorities in the church have been animated by a spirit that is contrary to the faith & have been acting against holy tradition. They will no longer endure sound doctrine”

πŸ“ Rome had warned that the move would constitute a schismatic act and trigger automatic excommunications under canon law, echoing Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre’s 1988 break with John Paul II.

Crete celebrates 60th anniversary of the return of St. Titus’ skull
https://orthochristian.com/177714.html

When Heraklion was captured by the Turks in 1669, the Venetians removed all the relics from the Church of St. Titus and took them to Venice. The bulk of his relics remain there today, though his head was returned on May 15, 1966 and is now kept in a silver reliquary in a side chapel in the church.

"The Veiled Woman" sculpted in 1869 by Italian artist Giovanni Battista Lombardi.

He applied a technique to marble that gives us the impression that the knot below the chin was made with real fabric.
