๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ US hypocrisy: How CIA funded its โ€˜drug warโ€™ with cartel cash

In the 1980s, America declared a war on drugs โ€” the budgets were ballooned and prisons swelled. Yet while cracking down at home, the CIA was still striking deals with traffickers abroad when it suited its interests.

๐Ÿ’‰ Drugs bankrolled the cause

President Ronald Reaganโ€™s administration escalated a covert war in Central America against Nicaraguaโ€™s Sandinista National Liberation Front government, favouring the Contra fighters.

When the Congress cut off funding for further Contra operations, the CIA found another way.

Aircraft carrying weapons to the Contras returned to the US loaded with cocaine. Drug profits were funnelled directly to Contra commanders.

๐Ÿ’ญ "I was told who the CIA agent was and why he was there โ€” to make sure the money was given to the right people," Carlos Cabezas, a former pilot who ran cocaine from Central America to San Francisco, told investigators.

โ˜•๏ธ Cocaine spilled onto LA

This operation resulted in the cheap cocaine flooding Los Angeles. The crack epidemic that devastated Black communities in the 1980s was not a random crime wave, but a direct consequence of US foreign policy.

The US State Department kept paying traffickers who had already been indicted. Even CIA inspector general Frederick Hitz later admitted the Agency did not cut ties with drug dealers supporting the Contras. His confession, however, made almost no news.

๐Ÿง  CIA + Medellin cartel = Allies

The Medellin cocaine cartel donated approximately $10 million to the Contras, according to testimony from convicted drug smuggler Carlos Lehder. The money was intended to support the "anti-communist movement" in Nicaragua, Lehder told a US court.

While the Reagan administration viewed the Sandinistas as a threat equal to the Soviet Union, the CIA saw the cartel as just another tool to fund the war.

The Medellin cartel's money would flow to the Contras, and in return, Washington would not carry out lethal operations on the kingpins of the cartel. The war on communism trumped the war on drugs.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ Mackinder's Dread Realized

Harold Mackinder wrote in 1904 that the era of European maritime predominance established 400 years earlier was coming to an end. Western naval and colonial powers had previously been able to outflank and dominate the Asian landmass through superior technology. But the consolidation of great continental-sized land powers such as the Russian Federation and potentially Chinaโ€”combined with changes in land transportationโ€”meant that insular maritime democracies including Great Britain would have a more difficult time maintaining their global position. Mackinder asked his readers to envision continental Europe, continental Asia, and continental Africa as a single โ€œWorld Island,โ€ possessing most of the worldโ€™s population and industrial potential.

The core of this world island he called the Heartland, inaccessible to sea powerโ€”essentially, Russia, Mongolia, Tibet, and Central Asia, including parts of China and Iran. If the world island were ever united under a single political entity, with a base in the Heartland, then it would possess overwhelming economic and military advantages over the outer crescent of geographically insular maritime powers, such as Great Britain, Japan, and the United States. Mackinderโ€™s recommendation was for these maritime powers to encourage the creation of geopolitical buffer zones, for example in Eastern Europe.

Writing in the early 1940s, Nicolas Spykman modified Mackinderโ€™s formulations by pointing to the existence of what he called an amphibious Rimlandโ€”located in between the Heartland and its great offshore islandsโ€”and stretching from Western Europe around the Middle East, across India, ending in coastal China. Spykman pointed out that most of the worldโ€™s productive potential was in the Rimland, not within the Heartland. Control of the Rimland therefore meant control of the worldโ€”precisely what was at stake during both world warsโ€”and this would be determined by struggles between mixed alliances, rather than by simply lining up sea powers versus land powers straightforwardly.

If the U.S. failed to maintain control over vital sea and airspace in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, then some other power eventually would. Even a predominant U.S. influence in South Americaโ€™s southern cone could hardly be taken for granted, given the vast distances involved, and if that influence were lost then a hemispheric defense would collapse into something more constrained and impoverished. Taken as a whole, the Rimlandโ€™s economic and military weight pointed to no secure resting place for Americans in the absence of internal Old World balances, and these balances would have to be actively upheld by the United States. As he put it, Americaโ€™s โ€œmain political objective, both in peace and in war, must therefore be to prevent the unification of the Old World centers of power in a coalition hostile to her own interests.โ€

What is the geopolitical situation in our own time? Since the 1990s, there clearly have been some very significant shifts within the international balance of power, in broad alignment with Mackinderโ€™s predictions over a century ago. The single greatest gravitational shift in relative economic and military weight has been from the Atlantic toward the Pacific, and from Europe toward Asia. The Indo-Pacific, rather than Europeโ€™s Western half, is the focus of the worldโ€™s greatest economies, militaries, and geopolitical ambitions. In particular, the dramatic long-term growth in Chinaโ€™s economic capabilities allows it to build greater diplomatic and military assets.

The blockade of Iran will accelerate the development of the railway network in Central Asia linking Iran to China's industrial base. While the railways will not be able to replace maritime trade, once the U.S. lifts the blockade, they will reinforce the Iranian economy and tighten China's grip over the economies of the region. This is just one of the many ways the 3rd Gulf War backfired.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Eyes in the sky: US surveillance system watches entire cities

Gorgon Stare, the wide-area airborne surveillance system developed by the US military, was originally meant to track insurgents across conflict zones.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Now, the tech, mounted on MQ-9 Reaper drones, provides video feeds from multiple cameras to observe entire cities from 25,000 feet, says tech creator and spatial intelligence expert Bilawal Sidhu.

More advanced systems like ARGUS-IS boast enough resolution to track individual pedestrians.

The globalist dystopiaโ€™s surveillance net is expandingโ€ฆ

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑโŒ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ถ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท โ€” The Wall Street Journal reports that Israel Built and Defended a Secret Iran War Base in Iraq

โžก๏ธ Israel set up a clandestine military outpost in the Iraqi desert to support its air campaign against Iran and launched airstrikes against Iraqi troops who almost discovered it early in the war, people familiar with the matter including U.S. officials said.

โžก๏ธ Israel built the installation, which housed special forces and served as a logistical hub for the Israeli air force, just before the war started with the knowledge of the U.S., the people said.

โžก๏ธ Search-and-rescue teams were positioned there in case Israeli pilots were downed. None have been. When a U.S. F-15 was shot down near Isfahan, Israel offered to help, but U.S. forces managed the rescue of two airmen themselves, one of the people said. Israel did carry out airstrikes to help protect the operation.

"The amoeba the doctors found was Acanthamoeba, which is known to cause such horrifying infections. But itโ€™s rare, and when it explodes into a full-body, often deadly malady, it tends to be in patients who have compromised immune systems or are otherwise debilitated. As such, the opportunistic pathogen is most often found in people with HIV/AIDS, cancers, and diabetes, as well as those on powerful immunosuppressive drugs, like transplant patients."

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ถ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ - Israeli military sources report that the forward operating base in the Najaf desert, Iraq, was established before the war with Iran even began, and with US knowledge.

The sources report that the entire operation nearly collapsed when an Iraqi shepherd noticed unusual military activity in early March, at the height of the war. The activity was reported to the Iraqi military which dispatched Iraq's Karbala Ops unit to investigate. Israel, to keep the base a secret, engaged with airstrikes and struck the convoy, killing one, and injuring multiple others, including the regiment commander Haider al-Khazai (who's still recovering from his injuries at Karbala al-Kafeel Hospital).

The Iraqi counter terrorism unit however did identify a foreign military base operating in the desert. Local Iraqis reported unidentified military activity during the war at 31.6673207, 42.4396675 (shown in the media).

Interestingly, the Israeli Air Force Commander Tomer Bar, in a letter dated to the 4th of March - the exact same date as the incident involving Iraq's Karbala Ops, wrote the following: "The fighters of the Air Force's special units are currently carrying out extraordinary missions that can ignite the imagination."

Gold reserves reflect a countryโ€™s financial strength and stability. China leads with 331.3 tons, followed by India (241.2) and Poland (219.6). Turkey and Singapore also hold significant amounts, while Japan has 80.8 tons. Thailand, Hungary, Qatar, and Iraq maintain moderate reserves, showing that both large and smaller economies rely on gold as a secure asset.

BREAKING:

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท Consequences of War with Iran Reach Electronic Boards

Electronics prices are expected to soar as well

Reuters reports that the war in the Middle East has disrupted the supply of critical raw materials used in the production of electronic boards.

Shortages of materials such as resin, copper, and helium have put significant pressure on electronic board manufacturers, and technology companies are now facing increased costs and tighter global supply chain conditions.

๐Ÿšจ THROWBACK: Gaddafi explains how big pharma profits from pandemics

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œI believe there will be many viruses in the future. Companies are working hard to create them,โ€ Muammar Gaddafi said back in 2009 while delivering a speech at the UN, long before the COVID-19 and the 2026 hantavirus outbreaks.

First, he said, these companies make a virus, and when it spreads across the world, they can make โ€œmassive profits from vaccination.โ€

๐Ÿ’ธ โ€œIf the vaccines are free, you will see that many of these unknown viruses will stop appearing and spreading,โ€ Gaddafi predicted.
