If anyone has been following the CA and CO computer API laws, the Linux community is a mix of fighting back and kneeling down. Fortunately, the kneelers are exactly who we would suspect โ Red Hat and Ubuntu.
GrapheneOS and FreeDOS are two of the latest to "just say no" to ID verification.
I strongly recommend Devuan as an OS. As soon as the systemd nightmare began its takeover at Debian, some of the top devs left and built Devuan. It's only one of several (and likely more soon) systemd-free Linux distributions.
Lunduke has a Github page he's tacking the refusniks and the capitulators here.
