TIL that over 4,000 Google employees signed a petition refusing to build AI for the US military, forcing Google to abandon a Pentagon contract. Palantir took it, won a $480 million Army contract, and is now deployed across five combatant commands and NATO.

The CIA took interest in Aleister Crowley's use of drugs such as datura as part of sex magick rituals. MKULTRA funded experiments based on Crowley's work, conducted in New York and San Francisco safe houses where prostitutes combined drugs with sex act for intelligence gathering.

Consider a scenario increasingly common in INDOPACOM: a gray-zone incursion by an unidentified maritime vessel, operating in contested waters near the Philippine archipelago. A U.S. partner nation or allied command post is monitoring the area using Palantirโs battle management suiteโreceiving feeds from distributed sensors and maintaining geospatial awareness over a designated maritime security zone.
Upon detection of the vesselโs entry into this monitored zone, an adjacent SOF elementโequipped with a Group 3 UAV, our Multi-INT V-BATโlaunches to gain positive identification. Shield AIโs autonomy stack, Hivemind, powers the onboard intelligence, enabling the aircraft to operate in degraded GPS and comms environments, autonomously collect FMV and associated intelligence, and stream KLV metadata to ground systems in real time.
The sensor data is ingested directly into the Palantir Platform, where it is fused, visualized, and flagged for analysis. From there, operators use Target Workbench to review and triage the contactโtagging it, assigning confidence, and collaborating with upper echelons on potential courses of action. Once a course is selected, Hivemind enables the rapid execution of that decision, transforming intelligence into action by directing autonomous systems to track, monitor, or strike as needed.
This is not a futuristic concept. Itโs a real, operationally relevant workflow that our teams at Shield AI and Palantir are enabling todayโwith fielded systems, mature autonomy, and extensible software frameworks that support rapid integration across the kill chain.

The Day Liberty Died
On June 8, 1967, the USS Liberty, an unarmed intelligence ship, was positioned in international waters off the coast of Egypt when it was attacked by unmarked IDF jet planes firing rockets and machine guns and throwing napalm onto its deck.
This ambush was followed by a torpedo strike that blew a forty-foot hole in the starboard side of the ship. Lacking the capacity to defend themselves, thirty-four sailors were killed and 174 wounded, many for life.
So intense and sustained was the attackโit lasted for nearly an hour and a halfโso specific was the aiming for the antennae and satellite dish on deck, that it was scarcely credible that Israel's aggression was not deliberate; such was the view of Marshall Carter, the director of the NSA, and Richard Helms, the Director of Central Intelligence.
"If it was an accident, it was the best planned accident I've ever heard of." โ USS Liberty survivor

The Black Vault, run by researcher and ufologist John Greenewald Jr, had its main server reportedly wiped clean on February 20, deleting hundreds of gigabytes worth of files on UFOs, declassified CIA projects, and major conspiracies, including the assassination of JFK, Daily Mail reports

โก๏ธ๐บ๐ธโ๐ฎ๐ท - The US has burned through "years" worth of munitions since start of the Iran war, just 13 days ago, per FT.
Details include:
1. Concerns are reportedly mounting around rising costs and the USโ ability to replenish stockpiles
2. The rapid depletion of weaponry includes advanced long-range Tomahawk missiles, sources say
3. The Pentagon is set to request $50 billion in additional spending for the military
4. Pentagon officials told Senators that the war had cost more than $11 billion in the first 6 days of strikes
Costs of the Iran war are rapidly mounting.

This is a fascinating story. Check it out.
https://open.substack.com/pub/forrestbishop/p/the-pleistocene-murders-part-1?r=lp6h7
Hundreds of animal species famously died out during the last Ice Age. The reasons behind the Ice Age, Pleistocene, or Quaternary, megafaunal extinctions have been puzzled over for more than a century without any clear resolution. The problem has been called the โFermatโs Last Theorem of paleobiologyโ. These extinctions took place over thousands of years and around the world, but there was a strange specificity about which animals could stay and which had to go. There are two accredited narratives about what caused this, the human-hunting narrative and the climate-change narrative. Both, in curious ways, are wrong.

๐ง Scientists Ran a Real Fly Brain Inside a Virtual Body
@science
๐ A team of researchers has recreated the entire brain of a fruit fly neuron-by-neuron and launched it inside a simulated body.
This isnโt a neural network trained to imitate a fly.
Itโs something far stranger: a structural copy of the real biological brain.
The system includes roughly:
โช๏ธ ~125,000 neurons
โช๏ธ ~50 million synapses
โช๏ธ The original wiring diagram reconstructed from connectomics data
Virtual sensory signals enter the model, neural activity propagates through the network exactly as it would in the real insect, and the simulated body moves in response.
In other words: the flyโs brain is effectively running inside a digital organism.
๐ฌ Researchers built the system using detailed neural mapping and simulation tools developed in the emerging field of whole-brain emulation.
The long-term goal is even more ambitious:
๐ the same approach could eventually be applied to mouse brains, which are several orders of magnitude more complex.
If that succeeds, it would represent a major step toward true digital organisms โ simulated bodies driven by real biological neural architectures.
๐ค Anime fans of Pantheon may feel a sense of dรฉjร vu.
๐ More details: https://eon.systems
๐ฌ Discussion:
If a brainโs wiring and signals can be perfectly reproduced in software, where exactly does the organism โexistโ?

Fortunately for American war planners, a similar operation to what they intend to do on Kharg Island happened in the early days of the Russo-Ukrainian War when Russia conquered Snake Island, off the coast of Ukraine and Romania's Danube Delta.
Both Kharg and Snake Island are roughly 22 miles from their country's respective coastlines and can be struck from the shore by heavy artillery, not to mention, drones.
Russian troops arrived by helicopter on Snake Island on February 24th 2022 and took the Ukrainian garrison prisoner. The plan was to strangle Ukraine's biggest port, Odessa, and prevent any ships from coming or leaving.
Due to the importance of Odessa and the massive amounts of grains which were being exported through the port, Ukraine bombed the Russian garrison on Snake Island relentlessly destroying all standing structures on the island and by the end of June 2022, Russia would abandon the island which Ukraine would reoccupy and Russia would afterwards never attempt to invade again.
If the U.S. attempts to seize Kharg island and somehow does not destroy the oil infrastructure on it, Iran most certainly will bomb that infrastructure in order to cause as much economic pain to the U.S. as possible, besides targeting the American garrison stationed on it.
