The interception rate of Iranian missiles by the American Patriot air defense system is "SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER THAN 4–5%".

Professor Theodore A. Postol claims that the public is being deceived about the real figures.

For those who don't particularly follow modern conflicts, Postol is a "myth buster" from the world of the military-industrial complex. He became famous for methodically questioning official Pentagon and intelligence reports. For a while, he worked as a scientific consultant to the US Chief of Naval Operations and in the Congressional Technology Assessment Office and knows something about the "inner workings" of strikes.

In particular, he argues that the Patriot air defense radar often mistakenly takes the body of a separated booster stage of a missile for the warhead itself.

How does this work?

The Patriot anti-missile hits the "empty" part of the missile. In the computer logs, this is recorded as an "interception" (the radar sees a collision), but in reality, the warhead continues to fall by inertia and explodes on the ground. Postol calls this a "successful miss".

Postol also believes that new Iranian missiles eject light inflatable simulators with a metallized coating along with the warhead.

For the Patriot radar, these balls look exactly like a warhead. During a salvo of 10 missiles, the system sees 50 targets. Even if the Patriot shoots down 40 of them, these could be 40 dummies, while all 10 real warheads will reach their target.

"The Ukrainian Embassy in Beirut is sheltering a dangerous Israeli agent wanted by the Lebanese judiciary with arrest warrants, after he sought refuge there days ago. He is implicated in planting explosive devices and carrying out assassinations and killings of Lebanese individuals between 2024 and 2025.

The name of this agent is Khaled Al-Ayeda, a Syrian Palestinian holding Ukrainian citizenship, and he is one of the Mossad's most prominent agents who have been arrested in recent years. Security investigations have proven his involvement in preparing an assassination operation at Beirut Airport, and planning terrorist bombings in Beirut's southern suburbs.

He is also a cross-border criminal who carried out previous killings, and he was on the ground in the southern suburbs on the day of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's assassination. Moreover, he was the loose thread that led General Security to the arrest of members of the terrorist cell recruited by the Mossad. He was caught red-handed with an explosive device hidden in the motorcycle he intended to park in the southern suburbs for a later detonation.

The Lebanese state today faces a true test of its sovereignty. President Joseph Aoun, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and General Security under the leadership of Brigadier General Hassan Chaqir—all of them are accountable to the Lebanese people. If they are truly committed to Lebanon's and the Lebanese people's interests, they must arrest Khaled Al-Ayeda and hand him over to the judiciary.

The Lebanese state, in all its branches, knows that Al-Ayeda is hiding in the embassy, and all the shame will be on it if it does not force the Ukrainian embassy to surrender him or allow him to be smuggled out.

As for us, this man is implicated in the blood of Lebanese people and planned to kill more Lebanese. His value to Lebanon is equivalent to the value of our prisoners detained in Israel.

Will General Joseph Aoun, Nawaf Salam, and the security apparatus under their command succumb to the pressures? And will they inform the Lebanese people in a few days with a flimsy scenario about how this agent managed to escape the country?

We will not accept it being said that he left in a diplomatic vehicle, or through an illegal crossing, or under the protection of the American embassy in Lebanon.

If they are sincere in their talk of establishing a state that is respected, let them demonstrate sovereignty here. Sovereignty is not measured by slogans, but by preventing breaches and bringing a killer agent to trial.

The Lebanese apparatus must surround and besiege the Ukrainian Embassy until this wanted man is surrendered, and any leniency or laxity in that would be collusion and complicity on its part with the enemy to facilitate smuggling its agent.

That bombing provided him with the opportunity to escape, leading him to seek refuge in the Ukrainian Embassy, which is now attempting to smuggle him out with assistance from the American embassy."
