"For me, though, even more rebarbative was his verbal diarrhoea masquerading as eloquence. (Oh, Lord. Now heβs got me at it tooβ¦). Itβs nice to have a big vocabulary. Iβm guilty of using the odd long word myself. But it has to be done judiciously for fear of overseasoning the stew. Brand uses his like an eight-year old who has discovered the spice rack: cumin, paprika, oregano, powdered cloves, Chinese five spice, ooh, and a handful of asafoetida, whatever the hell that is, but itβs got five syllables so whatβs not to like?"

He Makes the Mark of the Beast Sign with His Fingers. And You Still Think Russell Brand Is a Goodie?
One of the βnicestβ guys I have ever met is Tom Hanks. As youβre likely aware, those inverted commas are doing a lot of work there. But this was back in the day, when I still believed in the Narrative, and was easily distracted by the surface of things.

"If you want to know how the establishment deals with one of its own who they genuinely want to destroy, who they genuinely want to prevent from having significance or influence, look at the case of Milo Yiannopoulous. Milo was an absolute superstar six years ago, everyone knew his name (even if they couldn't pronounce it) and everyone was talking about him.
"Yet now, can you remember the last time you saw a headline - or even a brief snippet on page 37 - about him?
"Nope. Because his career really was destroyed - by the establishment refusing to pay him any more attention, so everyone forgot about him. (Milo was removed because he went severely off-script and started making allegations about protected industry big names in a misjudged attempt to save his own skin - it backfired and they're still protected and powerful whilst his career has collapsed.)
"If they wanted to destroy Brand, they'd do that to him, too. Boot him off all social media and stop saying anything about him at all in the mainstream press. He would be largely forgotten in a matter of months, just as happened to Milo."

A climate activist is to be prosecuted for holding a sign telling a jury that they have a right to decide on conscience. The implied right seems to be that often called jury nullification or perverse verdict, which dates from 12th century common law courts. That juries cannot be punished for their verdict, whatever it is. Foolishly writing 'right to acquit' will be what gets her, not the right to decide regardless.

"John Grisham himself could hardly have written the detailed passages of scientific argument any better, as the courtroom scenes spark with interpersonal drama. These dueling characters are people we grow to love and hate, and when the story reaches its climax readers will find their hearts touched. This is the beauty of fiction, that we can learn, think, and grow, while remaining so personally engaged we wonβt be quick to forget."

βToday, two long-range Western-made Storm Shadow missiles launched by militants of the Kyiv regime were neutralized over the Kherson region. One was shot down by air defense, and the control of the other was intercepted by electronic warfare, after which it fell to the ground.β [Vladimir Saldo]
"The Storm Shadow missile is EW resilient. In the case of satellite navigation signal jamming, it reverts to inertial navigation. One way, possibly the only way, it can be brought down using EW is if its onboard avionics (radio altimeter, fly-by-wire system) are rendered dysfunctional. Completely incapacitating onboard avionics requires a high-power EW warfare system, and the only such system in the war zone is the Krashukha 4."
