I didn't even realise just how interconnected was the web of the great filmmakers and artists of the 80s. There is someone or something that links them all together, even closely: Scorcese, Lucas, Carpenter, O'Bannon, Moebius, Giger, Coppola, etc, All were inspired by comics and sci-fi, a certain amount of psychedelia, all were creative white men living in an age where they had opportunity, and they all knew each other.
