❓ Did you know about Aergo IoT ❓
This allows developers to interface with the AERGO Blockchain with Microcontrollers πŸ“‘

The implications of IoT and Blockchain is astounding. Much so that a single use case can have a massive impact.

For example: Having electricity meters save data on the blockchain; or cars & trucks logging their data too. This can have a plethora of advantages for businesses and users.

Only a few companies focus on communicating with the blockchain from microcontrollers - and Aergo has that capability.

Check out our list of use cases here πŸ‘‡

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» Aergo Developer Update - libaergo

We've got some interesting guesses from our community on which two languages we've allowed developers to interface the AERGO blockchain from; but here it is!

Introducting libaergo.

This is a native library to interface with the Aergo Blockchain from C and C++ ! It even works on the Raspberry Pi.

We've just made this release public; check out our native library and notes below.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» Aergo Developer Update - libaergo / C# and VB.NET

We have implemented support for 2 additional programming languages:
πŸ‘‰ C# and VB.NET

These 2 languages are part of the .NET platform, created by Microsoft.

Applications written on these languages can now interface with Aergo πŸ₯³
https://github.com/aergoio/libaergo

Developers would just have to open some of the examples in a new project and include the .NET wrapper.

Then build & execute. 🌐

πŸ‘©β€πŸ’Ό Introducing: AERGO Enterprise Manager (AEM)

➑️ What is it? Who uses it?

In a nutshell, every client who wants to deploy and use Aergo in the enterprise space utilizes the Aergo Enterprise Manager. It offers several key features πŸ”‘

1. Deployment & Management Assistance πŸ”§
The Raft consensus used by Aergo requires complex procedures for setup for Chain Creation, Node Addition, and Deletion. It is difficult to do these things manually; hence the AEM assists in this process tremendously.

2. Monitoring the Aergo Chain ⛓️
To view the current chain status, you would need to monitor the logs of each node. In order to find the cause of any failure, the entire cluster status and log information of each node should be checked. This process can be troublesome and time consuming.

The AEM spots these problems at a glance on the dashboard, and determines whether the entire chain is in a normal state or if there is any abnormality in the nodes.

We've shared a sneak preview of the AEM in action below.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» Aergo Developer Update - libaergo

We have implemented support for Swift. A general purpose language developed by Apple for macOS, iOS, watchOS, tvOS & beyond.

Applications written on Swift can now interface with Aergo πŸ₯³

Clarification Post: libaergo & VB.NET - Not .NET πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’»

The libaergo library is used to interface with the Aergo blockchains from different programming languages:

➀ C
➀ C++
➀ C#
➀ VB.NET
➀ Swift

Other languages can also use it via FFI (Foreign Function Interface). We've had several community questions arise and needed to clarify the difference between .NET and VB.NET.

Visual Basic .NET (VB.NET) is a simple, modern, object-oriented computer programming language developed by Microsoft to combine the power of .NET Framework and the common language runtime with the productivity benefits that are the hallmark of Visual Basic.

Have an amazing week Aergonauts!

We have implemented support for Ruby πŸ’Ž

Ruby is an open-source, dynamic, reflective, object-oriented, and general-purpose programming language. It is a scripting language built from the ground up for use in front end and back end web development and similar applications

Applications written on Ruby can now interface with Aergo πŸ₯³
