Padm puran, chapter 88, shlok 43-44

शैवः सूर्याश्च गणेशा वैष्णवः शक्तिपूजकः।
मामेव प्राप्नुवन्तिह वर्षांभः सागरं यथा ॥४३॥
एकोऽहं पञ्चधा जातः क्रिदयन्नमभिः किल।
देवदत्तो यथा कश्चित्पुत्राद्याह्वान्नामभिः॥४४॥

श्रीकृष्ण ने कहा- जैसे वर्षा का जल समुद्र में जाता है, शिव, सूर्य, गणेश, विष्णु के अनुयायी, वैसे ही शक्ति के उपासक मेरे पास ही आते हैं। जिस प्रकार एक ही देवदत्त को पुत्र आदि अनेक नामों से पुकारा जाता है, उसी प्रकार मेरी दिव्य लीला के कारण मुझे भी भिन्न-भिन्न नामों से पुकारा जाता है।

Srimad Bhagwatam ke pahle hi shlok me jagat ko mithya kaha h. Registan me mirage dikhai deta h na usse tulna Kiya hua h

“This knowledge of the Supreme Reality is incapable of being understood by the narrow-minded, by the unwise, by persons of small intellect who are outside the knowledge of Vedānta is explained in this verse. Those few, even though they be women or others, who are firm in their conviction of the nature of the ultimate Reality, unborn and undivided are alone possessors of the highest wisdom. Others i.e., persons of ordinary, intellect, cannot understand their ways, that is to say, the Supreme Reality realised by the wise. It is said in the Smṛti:—“Even the gods feel puzzled while trying to follow in the footsteps of those who leave no track behind, of those who realise themselves in all beings and who are always devoted to the welfare of all. They leave no track behind like the birds flying through the sky."

"आत्मा जब प्राकृत गुणों से युक्त होता है, तब उसे क्षेत्रज्ञ कहा जाता है और उन्हीं गुणों से जब वह मुक्त हो जाता है, तब परमात्मा कहलाता है॥ "

यहा भी देखिए जीव और आत्मा में अंतर बताया जा रहा है। अद्वैत समझने के लिए जीव और आत्मा में अंतर जानना बहुत जरूरी है। आत्मा और जीव में क्या अंतर है जानने के लिए यहां click करें।

अगर इसपर भी कोई कहे की आत्मा को ऐसा कैसे लग सकता है की वो शरीर है? तो उनको कहिए की ये तो सभी दर्शन मानते हैं की हम सब शरीर नही हैं बल्कि आत्मा हैं, हमे बस ऐसा लग रहा है की हम ये शरीर हैं। बस चार्वाक ऐसा नहीं मानते।

जीव आत्मा में लीन हो जाता है, लेकिन आत्मा किसी में लीन नहीं होती। यहाँ भी हमें पता चल रहा है कि जीव और आत्मा में अंतर है। भगवान यह भी कहते हैं कि समस्त जीव मुझ आत्मा में लीन हो जाते हैं। यहाँ भगवान स्वयं को ही सबका आत्मा कह रहे हैं।

यही बात भगवान ने गीता 10.20 में भी कही है कि "मैं सभी भूतों (जीवों) का आत्मा हूँ।"

गीता 9.7 में भी यही लिखा है कि "समस्त भूत (जीव) मुझमें लीन हो जाते हैं।"
