hello 👋🏻 feel free to read this, especially when you’re feeling lost or lonely
it’s been a long day. spent most of it with friends and then went on a spontaneous solo date, just letting my feet take me wherever they wanted to go. surprisingly, i didn’t feel lost at all despite being in an unfamiliar place
and it got me thinking, it’s kind of similar to life. when you feel lost on the path you’re taking, that’s okay. it really comes down to how you choose to see it. even when you don’t know where you’re headed, there are always things along the way worth stopping for, worth noticing
maybe being lost was never the problem. maybe it was always just an invitation to look more carefully at where you already are

i just finished watching spider-man brand new day, didn’t really expect to watch it here in japan of all places. but honestly, it was a new experience and i enjoyed every bit of it
what struck me most about the movie is this: just because we lose someone, whether they’re gone forever or the connection has simply drifted away, it doesn’t mean we have to learn how to live alone. that used to be me. and my mom would always remind me, “no man is an island.” it’s the same thing peter had to realize in this film
i hope we never stop reaching out to people, even knowing that people will always come and go. choosing to close yourself off is the easier path, but it keeps you from experiencing what life is truly meant to feel like
people come and people go. that’s just how it is. and choosing to keep going, to keep opening yourself up to others despite knowing that, that’s what makes us brave. that’s what makes us human
