kinda hard to explain without some formalities, but basically it's because it's the graph growing too quickly in the y-direction compared to its shrinkage towards its vertical asymptode

it's like a width vs height race in the area below the curve basically

when intergrating, calculator shows math error doesnt mean always ur answer is undefined or smth...the function (integrand) is undefined, discontinuous, or has an asymptote/division by zero at one of the limits or somewhere inside the interval. means, so thats why we have different methods to solve integrals, power rule is the most basic one, and it doesnt work for 1/x and so so many functions.. we learn probably like 1 percent of calculus.
