1. Is it a mistake to be in a romantic relationship during exam prep?
Answer: It depends on the dynamic. If the relationship offers mutual motivation, it is fine; if it brings emotional drama, arguments, or constant texting, set strict boundaries until exams are over.
2. How can I eliminate procrastination and start studying?
Answer: Use the 5-minute rule: commit to studying a topic for just five minutes to break the initial friction. Break large chapters into tiny, manageable tasks and use the Pomodoro technique.
3. What is the fastest way to stop phone addiction and doomscrolling?
Answer: Change your environment. Place your phone in another room while studying, turn on grayscale mode to make apps less stimulating, or use app blockers during study blocks.
4. Is it too late to make a comeback if I start preparing now?
Answer: No. Stop passive reading and switch immediately to high-yield revision—focus on high-weightage topics and past-year examination trends to secure core marks.
5. Should I cut my sleep to 3–4 hours to study more?
Answer: No. Sleep deprivation weakens memory recall and analytical thinking. Aim for 6 to 7 hours of sleep so your brain can consolidate what you revised.
6. Can I rely solely on past-year and trial papers instead of the textbook?
Answer: Past papers are crucial for exam format and techniques, but use the textbook to quickly patch specific conceptual gaps whenever you get an answer wrong.
7. How do I handle heavy pressure and expectations from parents?
Answer: Communicate your daily study plan so they see your effort, and focus entirely on your daily preparation rather than stressing over the final outcome.
8. What should I do if my mind goes blank during the exam?
Answer: Pause, put down your pen, and take three deep breaths to lower your heart rate. Move to an easier question to rebuild momentum before returning to the difficult one.
9. Will an average exam result ruin my future?
Answer: No. Strong grades open direct doors, but multiple tertiary pathways (foundations, diplomas, technical certifications) lead to the same career outcomes over time.
10. Should I distance myself from friends who distract me?
Answer: Set temporary boundaries, not permanent grudges. Politely decline hangouts and gaming sessions by explaining that your focus is fully on exam preparation.

skip question 5, as f(x) has a vertical asymptote at x = sqrt of 3, so the integral diverges.
❤4
Forwarded from Lim Kevin
just so you know that's not really the reason the integral diverges, we can easily find a function that has vertical asymptode with a convergent improper integral
❤2
Forwarded from Lim Kevin
consider f(x) = 1/sqrt(x) and integrate f(x) from 0 to 1
