The annual Achim B’Yachad - Chai Lifeline Volunteers Appreciation event was held in Williamsburg at the Loft172. Guests were entertained by an uplifting performance featuring renowed Badchen and Singer, Avrum Mordechai Schwarts accompanied by the music of Asher Ringel. Our Host R’ Shlome Meyer addressed the crowd with words of chizuk, and introduced R’ Mayer Fischl to say a few words while conveying his connection to Chai Lifeline Followed by a parent and child thanking the volunteers and expressing how their holy work is greatly appreciated by every child and family. Throughout the event, volunteers and donors enjoyed a nice buffet dinner and BBQ by Oh!Vents while sharing stories and thoughts about the wonderful things that go on throughout the year in the Achim B’Yachad - Chai Lifeline community. The night was concluded with presenting a beautiful appreciation award to Achim B’Yachad Coordinator, Hershy Katz by his beloved volunteers that feel such a great connection to him for giving them such a great opportunity to be able to help so many children and families and being part of such an amazing family.
Achim B’Yachad volunteers work in a variety of capacities across Chai Lifeline, including offering respite support for parents, visiting children in hospitals, and offering mentoring and assistance for siblings through Achim B’Yachad’s i-Shine program.
